At first, Shanghai National Musical Instrument Factory No. 1 supported Yangzhou musical instrument production enterprises to produce guzheng, and then after development, it formed a guzheng industry cluster in Yangzhou, and combined with local characteristics of carved lacquer technology, forming today's Yangzhou guzheng.
Longfeng belongs to one of the earliest manufacturers of Guzheng in Yangzhou, which was founded in 1986 and produced by Yangzhou National Musical Instrument Development Factory, which was originally a subsidiary of the Children's Palace, and the founder Tian Bugao was originally a guzheng teacher. The quality and sound quality of the dragon and phoenix zither are relatively prominent in Yangzhou Zheng, and it has now become the representative of Yangzhou Zheng.

Another unique patented design of Longfeng is the double-box guzheng, which is separated by an arc-shaped soundboard with the same arc as the panel in the resonance box, forming a coordinated resonance between the upper and lower cabinets, making the sound quality fuller and more mellow. In 2010, the double-box guzheng won three gold medals and one scientific and technological innovation award in the National Guzheng Production Competition.
Yangzhou Zheng basically adopts modern folding plate technology, the timbre is relatively mellow, the feel is softer, the dragon and phoenix are like this, the aftersound is long, the interpretation of classical repertoire is full of charm, very suitable for the weak finger or prefer the ancient music of the Zheng friends. The mid-end Zheng of the dragon and phoenix is a double-arc design, the price is concentrated in 5000-6000 yuan, with a softer feel and beautiful appearance, it is loved by many Zheng friends.
