The panels and side panels of the Hongsheng Guzheng are made of first-class paulownia wood, and the exterior decoration is made of walnut. The wood relies on natural drying, and the general production cycle is about 3-5 years. Hongsheng Guzheng is also very good in the control of the thickness of the panel, in the process of panel digging, special attention is paid to the thickness of the panel, to ensure that the middle of the panel is thick, the two ends are thin, and according to the changing thickness of the panel for reasonable polishing and fine adjustment, so that the sound of the finished guzheng in the high, middle and low pitch area is more full and thick.
Due to the difficulty of the process, the problem of dull timbre will occur if the zither digging technology is not in place, while the Hongsheng Guzheng is very bright in timbre performance, and the overall timbre is bright and pleasant, not stuffy. There is no sound beam in the resonance body of the Hongsheng Guzheng, and there is no interval between the sound areas like the folding plate frame zheng, so the timbre is integrated, the high-bass transition is more balanced, and the timbre is more transparent. Hongsheng Guzheng is more inclined to traditional repertoire in terms of applicable music style, and the aftertaste is long when playing, which is very classical.
