Shaanxi China Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd. was established in December 2003. In December 2005, the cigarette factory in the province was integrated to establish Shaanxi Cigarette General Factory. In October 2007, Shaanxi China Tobacco Industry Company and Shaanxi Cigarette General Factory merged into one legal entity. In October 2009, the company changed its name and restructured into Shaanxi China Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd. in accordance with the law, established a board of directors, and improved the corporate governance structure. At present, the company has 5 cigarette factories in Baoji, Yan'an, Hanzhong, Chengcheng and Xunyang, with total assets of 16 billion yuan and an annual cigarette production capacity of more than 2 million boxes. There are more than 8,200 registered employees in the whole system, including more than 5,500 on the job. The company's own cigarette brands include "Good Cat", "Yan'an" and "Monkey King", among which "Good Cat" and "Yan'an" are the key brands in the industry. The company has established and maintained brand cooperative production relationships with China Tobacco in Hunan, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Yunnan.
