Saizeriya Restaurant Ltd. was founded in 1967, at a time when Italian cuisine was not popular. Mr. Yasuhiko Masagaki, the current chairman, studied under experienced chefs, and during his studies, he deeply understood the truth of "delicious food = raw materials". After graduating from school, while studying at the university, he started to run the first Saizeriya (with only 36 seats).

Guangzhou Saizeriya Catering Co., Ltd. was established on November 13, 2007, with a registered capital of 10 million US dollars, as of December 2014, it has 95 stores, more than 1,100 formal employees, and more than 200 dispatched employees.
