Xinghualou, founded in the first year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1851), is a century-old famous restaurant that started with catering and mooncakes. In 1998, Xinghualou was restructured and established Shanghai Xinghualou Enterprise Co., Ltd. In 2002, it was renamed Xinghualou Food and Catering Co., Ltd.

According to the photo data preserved by the Municipal Library, it is verified that Xinghualou was indeed founded in 1851, from the original Cantonese called "Shengzai", opened a storefront night snack shop, after the development of historical changes, has become: the original Shanghai Hongkou Old Bridge "Shengchang Fancai Restaurant" (also known as: Tanhualou); In 1883, the restaurant was relocated to today's Fuzhou Road and renamed "Xinghualou"; In the early days of the Republic of China, Xinghualou expanded into an old-fashioned building, and business was booming; In 1927, "Xinghualou Sheng Ji Co., Ltd." was established, and it was renovated into a seven-bay façade and a four-storey hotel on the original site, specializing in authentic Cantonese cuisine, concurrently engaged in European and American cuisine, and Xinghualou became famous; In 1956, it experienced a public-private partnership; In 1983, Xinghualou was renovated and added to the five-storey restaurant, until 1995, Xinghualou was renovated and expanded into a seven-bay façade and a seven-storey luxury restaurant, which became a landmark building of Xinghualou, and in 2007, Xinghualou completed a comprehensive renovation and renovation again, and the restaurant skillfully integrated modern luxury and inheritance classics.

The development of Xinghualou has experienced four major strategic transformations in the twenties, eighties, nineties and 2000s, and has gone through a long development of more than 160 years, from an early Guangdong dessert shop to a large-scale food and catering enterprise with three restaurants, a food factory, a logistics distribution center, two food marketing companies, more than 120 food chain monopolies, and a total area of 48,000 square meters.

In the past 100 years, Xinghualou moon cakes have been well-known at home and abroad for their unique formula, exquisite craftsmanship and long-term soft and glutinous characteristics, and moon cakes have become the pillar products of Xinghualou's rapid development. It has been rated as one of the "Top 100 Famous Brand Products in Shanghai" for five consecutive years, and has become the only Shanghai mooncake shortlisted for the "Top Ten National Cakes".

The Cantonese pickled meat products produced by Xinghualou are famous for their high quality raw materials and hand-refined, with pure taste, fragrant aroma, bright color, dry and firm flesh, and elasticity, which can be called the delicacy of the world. Its brand reputation and business status have soared, becoming another golden sign in the food and catering industry. In 2003, Xinghualou mooncakes, pastries and cured meat were rated as the "leader" brand of Shanghai commerce, and lap-mei was rated as another "Shanghai famous brand product" of Xinghualou.

For a long time, the name, brand and trademark of Xinghualou complement each other, accumulating rich brand cultural connotation, and has been famous and new for a hundred years. Since 1997, the Xinghualou trademark has been rated as "Shanghai Famous Trademark"; In 2005, the "Xinghualou" trademark was finally built into one of the most influential old trademarks in Shanghai; In 2006, the Xinghualou trademark was recognized as "China Famous Trademark".
