Moncler, is a luxury brand with French origin, founded in 1952 by French entrepreneur René Ramillon.
Headquartered in Grenoble, France, Moncler specializes in the production of well-known brands of outdoor sports equipment. The brand name Moncler comes from the abbreviation of the small town of Monestier de Clermon. Moncler's story began during the Second World War, and the brand's storied history has become one of the leading international brands in the outdoor down apparel industry.
In 2003, the company was acquired by Italian entrepreneur Remo Ruffini, who is currently the company's president and creative director, and is driving a global sales strategy for lightweight down jackets. A global concept of showcasing the refined aesthetics of outerwear and committing to the finest materials is becoming increasingly apparent. The versatility of its products, integrated in the beats of people's daily lives all the time.
Moncler's logo is a combination of the M letter and a rooster. The Moncler brand is divided into two runway brands: Moncler Gamme Rouge and Moncler Gamme Bleu, a womenswear runway brand with Giambattista Valli as the creative director, at Paris Fashion Week; MonclerGamme Bleu is a menswear runway brand that presents at Milan Men's Fashion Week.
The biggest impact of sportswear on the fashion industry has finally been realized. Getting rid of the fixed orientation of traditional sporting goods, such sports clothing can not only stay on special occasions, but also can be worn in daily life. With the help of the pepper industry, the door to outdoor sportswear has been opened since 1994 and they are being worn more and more on more occasions as the way it works has been continuously reinforced. From '94 to '98 Moncler became the most famous retailer in Europe and the world, and can only be found in famous stores or sports boutiques in Italy, Japan, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, England, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. But it was the last move of the pepper industry that really made the brand rebuild in 1998.
Following on from its previous strategic plan, Moncler was able to develop an additional product line with the support of its parent company, FinPart, and to realize the full potential of its brand value. The image of being born in the mountains and living in a metropolis in TV commercials has also become a classic. Moncler's padded jackets have become a must-have in the cold season, when skiing and even in elegant occasions.
As of the end of December 2012, Moncler has 12 directly operated boutiques in the Chinese market, located in Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi, Shenyang, Harbin and Tianjin. In the next few years, Moncler will open more directly operated boutiques in China, so that more Chinese consumers can get to know this luxury brand that is committed to producing high-quality products with a serious attitude.
