Zhejiang Times Cinema Line Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Times Cinema Line or the Company), formerly known as Zhejiang Times Cinema World Co., Ltd., was established in June 2002 relying on the film distribution and screening business sector of the parent company Zhejiang Film Company (now Donghai Film Group).

Carrying forward the professionalism and innovation of film distribution and projection management of the provincial film company since 1956, and adhering to the entrepreneurial spirit of Zhejiang filmmakers, who created one of the top four provinces in Chinese films such as Guangdong, Jiangsu, Beijing and Zhejiang, Times Cinema has made remarkable achievements in cinema chain operation after more than ten years of development: the box office of the cinema chain has risen from 50 million in 2002 to 1.2 billion in 2014, with 183 theaters, 1,128 screens, 14,209 seats, and nearly 40 million annual audiences. The project covers Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong and other provinces and cities, and the Times Cinema Line will develop at a rate of more than 30 new theaters per year in the next four years, and the box office is expected to reach 3 billion by 2019.
