Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center, founded in 1992, is a "one-stop" comprehensive service convention and exhibition center built earlier in China, integrating exhibition/catering/property/hotel/other comprehensive service functions as an enterprise

Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center was founded in 1992, covering an area of 225,000 square meters, with a construction area of 240,000 square meters, located in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, close to Wujiaba International Airport, railway station and the second ring rapid transportation artery. After its completion in 1993, the first Kunming Export Commodities Fair was successfully held in conjunction with five provinces and seven parties that year. It is a well-known exhibition enterprise that integrates comprehensive service functions such as exhibition, conference, catering, property, hotel, fitness and entertainment, and has rich experience in organizing exhibitions and "one-stop" high-quality services. It is a member of the International Association of Exhibition Management (IAEM) and the vice chairman unit of the China Association of Exhibition Centers. It is the window of Yunnan Province's opening to the outside world and the leading enterprise of Yunnan's exhibition industry. In 2004, the Convention and Exhibition Center became one of the first exhibition enterprises in China to pass the ISO9001:2000 international quality system certification.

In 2005, in order to solve the problem of institutional mechanism restricting the development of the convention and exhibition center, the convention and exhibition center carried out corporatization reform around the establishment of a modern enterprise system, straightened out the property rights relationship of the venue, straightened out the nature of assets, and straightened out the relationship between the main body of investment and the main body of management, and on December 31, 2005, it was successfully restructured into a corporate enterprise controlled by Yunnan World Expo Tourism Group, and explored the profit model of the enterprise operation of the exhibition venue. Through long-term unremitting efforts, the Convention and Exhibition Center has been built into an important provincial and municipal exhibition base, and has become one of the most influential exhibition venues in western China. Our goal is to build an international regional convention and exhibition center open to Southeast Asia and South Asia.
