Founded in 1985, China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC) is a directly affiliated enterprise of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and headquartered at No. 6, North Third Ring Road East, Chaoyang District. Now it has developed into a group enterprise integrating exhibition hall management, domestic exhibition, overseas exhibition, exhibition engineering, exhibition transportation, exhibition advertising and other businesses, with 28 subsidiaries and branches, which has an important position and influence in the exhibition industry at home and abroad, and is the chairman unit of the China Chamber of International Commerce, the chairman unit of the China Chamber of International Commerce Convention and Exhibition, the chairman unit of the China Association of Exhibition Centers, and a Chinese member who has joined the International Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE).

"China International Exhibition Center" is a professional exhibition hall of China Exhibition Group Corporation, located at No. 6, North Third Ring East Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, completed in October 1985, inscribed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping. With an indoor exhibition area of about 60,000 square meters, the building is the first modern and professional exhibition hall in China, and has been rated as one of the "Top Ten Buildings in Beijing in the 80s". In 2008, the first phase of the China International Exhibition Center (New Hall) was completed and put into use in Shunyi District, Beijing. The new museum will be constructed in three phases, with a total planned land area of 265 hectares and a construction scale of 2.25 million square meters. The first phase of the new museum has an indoor exhibition area of 106,800 square meters and an outdoor exhibition area of about 50,000 square meters.

The new and old halls of China International Exhibition Center are strategically located, with convenient transportation, large lecture halls, conference rooms, business centers, Chinese and Western restaurants and other supporting facilities.
