The main peak fan is steep at an altitude of 5,596 meters, covered with snow all year round, and has developed the temperate oceanic glacier closest to the equator in Eurasia.

The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is known as "Oulu" in the Naxi language, which means silver mountain rock. It is wrapped in silver, thirteen snow peaks are endless, like a "giant dragon" soaring and dancing, so it is called "jade dragon". And because the lithology of Yulong Snow Mountain is mainly limestone and basalt, black and white are distinct, so it is also called "black and white snow mountain". Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a sacred mountain in the hearts of the Naxi people, and legend has it that it is the incarnation of the Naxi people's protector god "Sanduo".

Yulong Snow Mountain is rich in natural resources, and has great ornamental value of alpine and snowy landscapes, water landscapes, forest landscapes and meadow landscapes, which attract countless tourists to visit here every year. In 2001, Yulong Snow Mountain was rated as a 4A-level tourist attraction, and in May 2007, it became the first batch of 5A-level tourist attractions in the country. It is believed that in the near future, Yulong Snow Mountain will become a tourist attraction with a first-class ecological environment, which can allow tourists to experience eco-tourism, feel biodiversity, and fully reflect the intimacy and harmony between man and nature.

Gan Haizi is located in the east of Yulong Snow Mountain, which was originally a lake eroded by high mountain ice, and later dried up due to the rise of the snow line, the water accumulation was reduced and dried up, and it is called "Ganhaizi", which is the best position to overlook the whole picture of Yulong Snow Mountain.

Gan Haizi is a tourist distribution center in the Yulong Snow Mountain Tourist Area, which can provide tourists with food, accommodation, travel, travel, entertainment, shopping and other services. Glacier Park

Glaciers are natural ice bodies formed by the accumulation and deterioration of snowfall over many years in cold regions.

Glaciers are divided into continental ice sheets and mountain glaciers, of which mountain glaciers are divided into continental glaciers and oceanic glaciers. The glaciers of Yulong Snow Mountain belong to the temperate oceanic glaciers, which are affected by the oceanic monsoon, and have the characteristics of large accumulation and ablation, high ice temperature, obvious bottom sliding, fast movement, and sensitivity to climate change.

There are a total of 19 modern glaciers in Yulong Snow Mountain, among which the largest glacier, "Baishui No. 1" Glacier (i.e., Glacier Park), is located directly below the main peak Fanzi, with a total length of 2.9 kilometers. At the end of the glacier is a myriad of ice towers, which are blue-green due to the refraction of sunlight, and are known as the "Green Snow Peak". You can enjoy this wonder by taking the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Cableway.

Blue Moon Valley

The ice and snow melt of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain passes through the valley from the eastern foot of the Snow Mountain, because the moon is reflected on the blue lake under the blue sky, and because the blue moon valley described in the book "Lost Horizon" written by the British writer Junems Hilton is similar to this, so it is called "Blue Moon Valley".

The water of the Blue Moon Valley is blocked by the mountains in the process of flowing, forming four large water surfaces, which are called "Jade Liquid" Lake, "Jingtan" Lake, "Blue Moon" Lake and "Tingtao" Lake. The shores of the lake are surrounded by lush vegetation and backed by snow-capped peaks in the distance. The water of the lake is a transparent blue, with a hint of greenery dotted in the almost frozen blue. Looking around in the center of the lake, the white clouds are horizontal, floating in the mountains, reflecting on the surface of the lake, such as a dream shadow, suspected to be a fairyland.

The Blue Moon Valley is 2.5 kilometers long and you can tour it by battery car or on foot. Tell you! This is a natural oxygen bar, so don't miss the opportunity to absorb natural oxygen! cloud
