PRS guitars have been meticulously researched in terms of materials, design and technical sophistication to reduce the humidity of the wood to less than 7% (3% for our sandalwood fingerboards), and the workers in each line are guitarists, who regularly invest in better machines and equipment.

PRS guitars definitely "hold their value" because of the high residual value of the product, which is constantly sought after by guitar collectors and connoisseurs on the second-hand market. In fact, many of our limited edition guitars, such as the Dragon series, are currently available at a much higher market price than they were originally sold for. Undoubtedly, among high-end guitar brands, PRS occupies an absolute advantage.

Paul Reed Smith was self-made. In college, he worked on his own research topic and made his first guitar, and his dream was to one day become a successful guitar maker. In 1985, along with rare supporters such as Carlos Sanata, he opened his first factory in Annapolis, Maryland.

In the PRS Custom collection, classic yellow, crimson and royal blue, as well as the now-famous Little Bird Pinji, were among the first products at the factory. It is also the core product we currently produce.
