Hangzhou Botanical Garden-Institutional Review

Hangzhou Botanical Garden is located in Taoyuanling, West Lake District, and has a history of more than 60 years. There are more than 3,000 kinds of plants planted in the park, and there are many areas such as ornamental plants and economic plants.

The botanical garden is divided into different types of special areas according to the type of plants, and it is a good time to enjoy the flowers all year round. Opened to visitors in October 2017, the Rose Garden is home to about 1,800 roses and 170 species of aquatic plants, including peaches, cherries, begonias, lotuses, irises and more. The bonsai garden integrates plant cultivation and garden art, and uses a variety of plants to express the bonsai art of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Baicao Garden is dominated by medicinal plants, and gathers more than 700 kinds of plants, such as the famous traditional Chinese medicine "Zhejiang Bawei", which is divided into yin, yang, semi-yin and other areas. In addition to the above, there is also a forest park where trees and shrubs are collected, and a bamboo garden where bamboo plants are the main focus.

In addition to plants, Yuquan is also a major attraction of Hangzhou Botanical Garden. Yuquan is one of the three famous springs of West Lake, and since the Song Dynasty, it has been a famous fish-watching spot in the world. Today's Yuquan is located on the north side of the botanical garden, adjacent to the landscape garden, divided into two parks, south and north, the south garden has "Qingle Hall", "like a fish in water" and other fish viewing spots, the north park has "fish music country" fish pond, "ancient pearl spring" and other historic sites. The big herring in the "fish paradise" is about one meter long and weighs more than 100 catties, swimming in the pond in groups, which is very spectacular. The landscape garden next to the jade spring is a classic landscape garden in the south of the Yangtze River that combines the natural topography and artificial landscaping, with a Hongbi Lake occupying the center, flowers and trees surrounding, and pavilions and water pavilions located by the lake, with beautiful scenery and unique charm.

Lingfeng in the Botanical Garden is one of the three major plum blossom viewing spots in Hangzhou. In 1988, the Lingfeng plum exploration scenic spot was rebuilt and opened, which covers an area of more than 200 acres and planted tens of thousands of plum blossoms. Because it is located in the valley, the plum blossoms of Lingfeng bloom earlier than other places, thank you late, and the flower-viewing period is long. There are a number of plum blossom viewing buildings in the scenic area, each building has its own characteristics, among which the most popular is Pinmei Garden. Pinmei Garden is the only courtyard in Lingfeng that is surrounded by a wall, the plum trees here have a peculiar shape, and most of the planted are weeping plums, Longyou plums and other rare varieties, which are worth visiting. On the west wall of the courtyard, there is a "Hundred Plum Map", which collects a large number of samples of the word "Mei" written by historical literati, and there is a long corridor outside the courtyard, which has a small resting seat, and the pane is written about the varieties and history of plum blossoms, so that visitors can understand the relevant knowledge.

The botanical garden is larger, and there are different attractions in different seasons, and the official public account of the park recommends a variety of routes according to the season, and tourists in need can also learn about it online in advance.
