Wu Bentai, a scholar of the Ming Dynasty, lived in seclusion in Xixi in his later years, and wrote "Fanyin Zhi" during this period, which has been passed down for thousands of years, "Although there is no weak water for three thousand miles, it is not that the immortals cannot come" was born in this way.
Xixi National Wetland Park is a rare secondary wetland in the city, integrating urban wetland, agricultural wetland and cultural wetland. With a total area of about 115,000 square kilometers, the park is divided into the eastern and western districts, with the eastern area being developed and constructed earlier and more mature.
The whole wetland park is rich in animal and plant resources, and there are many scenic spots, and each has its own characteristics. Gaozhuang is the essence of the Xixi Scenic Area. Gaozhuang, also known as Xixi Villa, is a private garden-style manor built by Gao Shiqi, a literati of the Qing Dynasty, in Hangzhou, which is composed of high mansions, bamboo windows, twisted flower book houses, banana garden poetry societies and other buildings. Gao Shiqi is a celebrity in front of Emperor Kangxi, and now there is still a "Kangxi Linxing Map" hanging in Gaozhuang, and the word "bamboo window" is also inscribed by Emperor Kangxi himself. Gaozhuang is a typical style of the front house and the back garden in the late Ming and middle Qing dynasties, with lotus ponds, pavilions, pavilions, pleasant scenery, there are fewer tourists here, suitable for walking. Gaozhuang is a paid attraction, and the ticket is 5 yuan/person.
Compared to Gaozhuang, Akiyuki-an has a higher popularity. Qiuxuean is the core area of the scenic area, built on a lonely island and needs to be reached by boat. The southeast direction of Qiuxuean is a reed beach, and every autumn, there will be a patch of reed flowers in full bloom, thus forming one of the ten views of Xixi, "Autumn Reed Flying Snow". Qiuxue Nunnery is the layout structure of the courtyard of the two scriptures, the building in the first courtyard takes Buddhist culture as the theme, and the second courtyard enshrines the list of thousands of poets, which is quite humanistic.
In addition to historical sites, there is also no shortage of green vegetation to visit in the scenic area. The Wetland Botanical Garden is the natural oxygen bar of the Xixi Wetland. The botanical garden is divided into 4 main halls, mainly displaying aquatic ornamental flowers and wetland economic plants. There is also an underwater sightseeing corridor more than 100 meters long in the park, and visitors can climb down the stairs from the corridor to enjoy the aquatic animals and plants on both sides up close, which is more of scientific significance for children.
Xixi Wetland not only encompasses many landscapes, but also gathers eating, drinking and entertainment projects. The Yanshui Fishing Village in the southern part of Yanshuian is a wonderful place for good fish eaters. At the Xixi Teahouse, visitors can taste the Fahua tea, which is praised as "Longjing Mengshan What is the Foot". In the restaurant, visitors can drink the fragrant and refreshing Xixi trough roast. The dumpling shops on the street are also very popular with tourists, and the variety of pastries made with different ingredients and rich nuts is often sweet but not greasy. In addition, local delicacies in Xixi such as Gudangpan persimmon and bamboo shoot Laoling are also worth trying. Among the handicraft shops on the street, the calico and bamboo baskets of Chen Juxing Dyeing Workshop are the most distinctive, and their blue calico is delicate and beautiful, and the bamboo flower baskets are also simple and practical. There are Xixi Dragon Boat Exhibition Hall and Guishan Kiln Ceramic Art Museum on Hezhu Street, which respectively display dragon boats and ceramic craft works, and tourists who have more time can go to visit. "Hezhu Listening to Music" is one of the ten scenic spots of Xixi, in Hezhu Street, visitors can enjoy the Yue Opera performance on the ancient stage and feel the unique folk culture of Xixi.
The scenic spot has prepared a wealth of entertainment projects for the majority of tourists, and the "Fisherman's Tour" activity is a good choice. Visitors can pick fresh fruits and vegetables in the ecological farm, or experience traditional fishing activities, and after processing the fruits of labor into farmhouse dishes, they can enjoy the authentic and delicious taste of Xixi. In different seasons, different activities will be held in the scenic area, and there will be different feelings when visiting Xixi. If it is the Dragon Boat Festival, the park will carry out a dragon boat festival, where visitors can enjoy wonderful performances such as dragon king, dragon and lion dance, and Chinese dragon drums.
The scenic spot provides three ways to play: a rocking boat, a battery boat, and a battery car, and the routes are not the same. The rocking boat is one of the most atmospheric ways to play, which can go deep into the depths of Xixi. Sitting on the boat, tourists can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Xixi while drinking a large bowl of tea and tasting the boat meal. The battery boat is a bus ship, which is convenient and saves time and effort. Compared with the first two, the operating range of the battery car is smaller, and there is a feeling of sightseeing, so it is not recommended.
