Nanshan Botanical Garden is located in Nanshan, Nan'an District, Chongqing, across the river from the center of Chongqing, and is the core scenic spot of Nanshan Nanquan Scenic Area in Chongqing. The park mainly collects the germplasm resources of China's subtropical low mountain plants, and has a variety of themed ornamental botanical gardens such as rose garden, plum garden, orchid garden, camellia garden, bonsai garden, exhibition greenhouse, and golden eagle garden. The Rose Garden in the central park of Nanshan Botanical Garden covers an area of 176 acres, formerly known as the White Orchid Garden of Nanshan Park. More than 60,000 plants of more than 180 species of Rosaceae plants have been introduced from all over the world, and the sea of pink flowers in spring every year is particularly charming. The Golden Eagle Park is more than 600 meters above sea level, covers an area of more than 200 acres, and there is a 22-meter golden eagle statue standing on the giant red conch on the top of the mountain. The first shooting scene of Chongqing TV's aerial film "Bird's Eye View of New Chongqing" was here, and the "Big Golden Eagle" has gradually become a landmark building in Chongqing.
