Chongqing Regent Hotel is a five-star hotel that opened at the end of 2016. Hotel buffet, Chinese food and all kinds of restaurants have good reviews in Chongqing. Robbins Steakhouse, a western restaurant supporting the hotel, has attracted the attention of diners for its per capita consumption ranking first in Chongqing's western cuisine.

Generally speaking, Western food is divided into casual dining and fine dining, and Robbins Steakhouse is unique in Chongqing with the concept of casual fine dining, which also makes many diners wonder. In fact, Robbins Steakhouse's Casual Fine Dining is characterized by its salads and desserts being served on a buffet basis, while the rest of the menu is still in the form of Fine Dining. Because of this, coupled with the poor quality of fruit salad, many diners complain that the restaurant is not of high quality.

Robbins Steakhouse offers two types of dining, the former being a chef at a teppanyaki table, and the latter waiting for the waiter to serve the food at a regular table. The choice of staple food is basically the same, except that the latter has more dishes with bone-in steak. The teppanyaki set has a steak size of only 4 or 6 ounces, while the latter has 6 or 8 ounces. The best quality is M8 grade (M8 and M9, the latter requires reservation) grain-fed 400-day boneless rib-eye steak, refined sirloin steak, beef tenderloin, and 6 ounces of bare eye and sirloin are highly praised. The 3-minute rare M9 is the naked eye, the rich fat texture is like marbling, and the fat between the meat makes the taste smoother, fatty and fragrant; The medium-rare M9 sirloin is slightly chewy and very tender on the inside, both of which are definitely worth trying. Robbins Steakhouse's signature dish is the more visually striking Australian Wagyu Tomahawk Steak, which is enough for 3 people to enjoy at 1.5kg. Tomahawk steak is grilled for 1 hour before serving, and diners who don't want to wait can book in advance and submit a deposit of 800 yuan (refunded on arrival). Once the Tomahawk steak is served, the waiter offers a choice of six knives and tells a story about Louis XIV in a ceremonial way. The steak is thick and springy, but the beef flavor is slightly lacking, so it can only be said that this is a dish suitable for diners to experience a sense of ritual.

Robbins Steakhouse has two teppanyaki rooms and a wine cellar box, with a minimum spend of 3,000 yuan. The hall can accommodate 50 people at the same time, but the space is not large, the room between tables and chairs is insufficient, and the privacy is poor. Robbins Steakhouse is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel, and the lobby is directly connected to the kitchen on the 1st floor, so the lobby can sometimes be noisy, which is not suitable for diners who have a high level of quietness in the restaurant.
