The name of the store is the English word for the street "Qinglian Shangjie", which is also an abbreviation of "a lot of us", which means "here is most of the things we need". Lotus is a café before 5 p.m. and a whisky/cocktail bar after that, and its Shanghai store, which opened in 2018, follows the same business model.

Qinglian Street has a rare tranquility in the Chunxi Road business district, with vehicles and pedestrians shuttling under the green trees, unhurried, and just as leisurely as this small shop standing in a corner. Inside the semi-floor-to-ceiling glass windows, there is a white cement interior wall, several marble round tables and cotton wool high chairs scattered throughout the store, and on the walls are several simple oil paintings, small and chic. At night, Lotus transforms from a café to a bar, the orange-yellow light of the spherical chandelier becomes soft and ambiguous, and the corners of the small tables are dotted with greenery and bouquets of flowers, and the soothing style belies the crowded feeling of the shop, perfect for a few drinks with friends.

Most of Lotus' self-created cocktails are sweet and sour, with low alcohol content and high appearance, so customers who are not good at drinking can easily find their favorites. The "rock sugar gourd" that sells well in the wine list is not high in alcohol, has a light taste, sweet and sour, and has a string of playful and cute rock sugar gourds attached to the glass, which is very popular with ladies. Another Sake-based sake with a thin layer of creamy foam sprinkled with rose petals and nut particles on the surface is mellow in the mouth with a hint of milkiness. For Origami lovers, the store also offers an off-the-beaten-the-skin whisky special, which is made by mashing fresh origami roots, adding whiskey and shaking evenly, and finally adding vanilla as a balance, and the unique flavor of origami is very prominent. The interior is dimly lit, and the flickering candlelight adds to the atmosphere, but it is also inconvenient and drowsy for customers to flip through the wine list. Most of the waiters are young people who have a certain understanding of alcohol, but they are not patient enough to serve when there is a large flow of people. At the same time, smoking is allowed in the store, and the air in the small store is cloudy.
