Founded in 2004 by BOB BOYCE from Montana, USA, Blue Frog is an American Western food chain brand based on pure North American flavors, and has won many honors such as "Outstanding American Restaurant" and "Most Popular Western Restaurant" issued by English magazines such as "That's Beijing", "That's shanghai" and "The Beijinger". Blue Frog now has dozens of branches in China, and its expansion rate is no less than that of New Elements and Wagas Restaurant.
Like the restaurant, Blue Frog's poached eggs are made with traditional English muffins and are available in four options: bacon, ham, smoked salmon and spinach. The bacon is fried crispy and delicious, and the soft and silky avocado collides with the two different tastes. The ham slices are pink and tender, and the entrance is salty and oily; Smoked salmon has a fatty flesh that is just right neutralized with fresh asparagus; Spinach poached eggs are simple in ingredients and do not contain any meat, making them suitable for vegetarian lovers. Although the presentation of the four poached eggs is a little perfunctory, and the richness of the side dishes is far less than that of the restaurant, the selection of fresh materials and the taste are authentic enough.
The Blue Frog Breakfast Roll is a burrito made with a tortilla wrapped in scrambled eggs, smoked ham and spicy beef, and served with a little sour cream or tomato salsa. Unlike most Western restaurants that only serve steaks for dinner, Blue Frog's brunch menu also has steaks to choose from, and the steak is served with eggs all from the ribeye steak, which is rich and juicy, but the steak is not stable enough and often over-fried.
Blue Frog is located on the first floor of Suzhou Center Mall, next to Wagas Restaurant. The interior is spacious, dimly lit, and has a long bar in the middle, which is typical of American dining and bars. The restaurant service is decent, and although the staff is kind and welcoming, there is a shortage of staff, and customers have to find their own waiters when they need them. It is important to note that Blue Frog currently only serves brunch on weekends and public holidays, from 10 am to 4 pm.
