陕西南路一带历史悠久,曾因法租界影响,大批优雅的历史建筑坐落于此,如今也是静安艺术区的核心。精致典雅的花园小洋房餐厅Light & Salt Daily就隐匿在陕西北路一座独栋三层别墅内,灰色的别墅外部看起来很低调,而餐厅内则别有洞天。建筑背部被幽静池塘与绿树草地环抱,大面积的落地窗有如闲雅庭院的画框,在晴天时候格外明媚而富有意趣。

Light & Salt公司每开一间餐厅都会选择优雅的地段,它实际上是一个集餐饮、艺术和文化于一体的生活体验空间品牌,不仅经常作为各艺术、影像展览的合作者,在Light & Salt Daily三楼还有与香港著名设计师陈幼坚合作的收藏空间,空间中摆放着陈幼坚从世界各地带来的物品,风格迥异,或奇趣或怀旧。

Light & Salt Daily的出品和环境相比显得较为普通,用油稍重是煎炸类菜品的通病,不喜欢油类的朋友可以避开此类菜式。brunch只在周末11:30-16:00提供,菜式大多为单点,和日常的午市套餐菜单有部分重合,想要优惠的朋友在工作日中午点选157两道菜和187三道菜的午间套餐亦可。brunch菜单中有臻享海鲜盘、蒙特利尔早餐盘和海陆早餐盘三个套餐可选,适合喜欢海鲜和肉排的朋友,此三个套餐份量较大,适合两位分享。餐厅按季节更换菜单,只保留部分经典菜式。虽然略显油腻,但经典菜中的Pan-fried salmon仍让人较有好感,三文鱼煎得外酥里嫩,鱼肉汁水丰富,本身浓郁的油脂香味被较好地烹制出来,较好地保留了食物的原汁原味。

在服务方面,Light & Salt Daily的工作人员专业亲和有礼节,对用餐过程的细节较为注重,在上菜的间隙会轻巧地清理桌面,保证顾客在用餐时能保持整洁愉快的心情,同时也会耐心地介绍菜品和询问听取顾客意见,让人颇有好感。此外,周末店内顾客较多,可以提前电话预订座位。

Charcoal-grilled live Boston lobster is a long-standing dish in which lobster meat is mixed with confit tomatoes and cooked with Parmesan cheese and fennel, the acidity of tomatoes, the saltiness of cheese and the sweetness of lobster are blended together, and the taste is lively and aftertaste. Eggs Benedict consists of English muffins, poached eggs, and hollandaise juice.

Pan-fried salmon
Pan-fried salmon with cauliflower puree, poached eggs, spinach and fried melon tenderloin. The salmon is fried crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the fish is rich in juice and water, and the fat and aroma of the salmon itself are well cooked. However, the oil is heavier, and the whole dish is slightly greasy.
