Sisypheus, whose name originates from Sisyphus in Greek mythology, was born in 1993 and was one of the first private bookstores to explore the book industry. The 90s was a beautiful opening era for the domestic book industry, and in line with the trend of the times, Sisyphus took root in Guizhou and gradually grew into a leading private bookstore in the local area. As of 2017, Sisyphus has more than 60 book retail stores and Italian cafes across the country, radiating to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu and other provinces and cities. Sisyphus strives to maintain the core positioning of the "bookstore", pursuing simple reproduction, and imposing strict limits on the area of bookstores and cafes, with bookstores accounting for 80% and cafes accounting for 20%, and the proportion of sales volume is roughly the same. Sisyphean Bookstore's book products are divided into seven main categories: social science, economics and management, inspirational, literature, life, children, and art, and the number of varieties in each store is roughly stable between 22,000 and 50,000 copies. Vector Coffee and Fuji Life are sub-brands of Sisyphus. Moderate coffee is the standard equipment of all Sisyphean PARK stores, which is managed by a professional coffee operation team, as an extension of the reading experience, providing readers with a space for communication, and carrying the activity function of the Sisyphean cultural platform. Fuji Life Creative Space is a sub-brand of Sisyphus, like a warm nest, where children can get a peaceful reading experience. Sisyphus's book products are operated in the form of buyers, and the buyer team takes "mass boutique reading" as the operating concept, and carries out fine procurement according to more than a dozen product lines such as literature, social science, children, economics and management, and life, and selects about 10% of high-quality products in a large number of publications every year. Walking into Sisyphus, it feels like entering a palace of books, most of the books are popular books, but Sisyphus is not a "picky eater" about books, and Chinese medicine health books are also on the shelves.
