PAGE ONE - Agency Reviews

Not all bookstores like to sell bestsellers, PAGE ONE takes the professional route, focusing on design books. Walk through Sanlitun Village and you'll see a glowing building with sleek white neon tubes spelling out "The Wood House" – the Page One concept store is designed with wooden houses in mind. The bookstore's bright colour palette is bright, with the green glass of the staircase connecting the floors in a wooden shelf, giving the bookstore a vibrant life like greenery. PAGE ONE is headquartered in Singapore and currently has stores in Beijing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities. Compared to a bookstore that is integrated with a café, Page One is a bookstore that sells books and related goods. The books are all new, and there are many original English books, and Chinese is only a corner. The first floor is dominated by art and design books, and a lot of materials can be found here in fine art, fashion, architecture, film, animation, etc. Each bookshelf is of different height and shape, and is cleverly placed to achieve a visually comfortable balance. When I saw the famous Sanlitun Bar Street outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, I immediately felt the charm of quiet in the middle of noisy. The children's book area on the second floor also has a cartoon sofa for children to read and a splicing floor for sitting and reading, which is intimately designed; There is also a corner outside the bookstore for dining, which is suitable for afternoon tea and reading. The bookshelves in the children's area are filled with firefighting supplies, and the safety has been well thought out. The bookstore also has a design area, a gift area and other sections, including BG tattoo stickers, MT tape, Paperthinks, Polaroids, etc., and the prices are generally expensive. The price of a single book in the design area is high (an average of 200 yuan); In the Chinese and English areas, there are original books, Hong Kong and Taiwan editions and mainland books, with high sales and thin profits. In fact, it is more cost-effective to buy original books on PageOne, and bookstores often have discounts, and occasionally there are activities such as buying a full book and getting one free. The fly in the ointment is that many of the shelves in the store are empty; There is also no area for people to sit and read, which makes it feel a bit chilly. The category of bookstores is more specialized, and for people in other industries, the experience may be too one-dimensional.
