Located a 2-hour drive from the city center, CITIC Jinling Hotel is the most luxurious hotel in Pinggu District, with many scenic spots such as Old Elephant Peak, Petrova and Four Towers. The hotel was designed by Academician Cui Kai, a leading figure in the field of Chinese architectural design, and the Commune Villa No. 3 at the foot of the Great Wall is another of his masterpieces in Beijing. The stone terraced shape of CITIC Jinling makes it perfectly integrated into the magnificent landscape, which is unforgettable. The hotel officially opened in 2013 during the "May Day" stage, and after 2 years of completion of all landscape works, the hotel was successfully selected as MICE China best 100 that year, and won this award again in 2017. The hotel is located on the southwest side of Xiyu Reservoir, built next to the mountains. There are more than 400 guest rooms regardless of size, and all the windows face the lake. The hotel is arranged in a U-shape, so those who are worried about getting a tan can choose to stay in the south side of the room. The sun-facing direction allows you to enjoy the lake view without being disturbed by the sun, and you can make a cup of tea and push the window to enjoy the view. Moving to the lake in the evening to watch the sunset with the waterfowl on the shore, CITIC Jinling's location can be described as well-intentioned. In terms of facilities, Jinling is full of sincerity, and all rooms are equipped with Sealy mattresses, which is the configuration level of a top five-star business hotel, which is less common in suburban resort hotels. Both double rooms are made of 2m×2m beds, while twin rooms are 1.35m×2m. The area of the ordinary viewing room is 40 square meters, and the price is usually within 1,000 yuan, and the area of the suite is twice its size, and the official price is more than 3,000 yuan per night. There are a total of 4 dining halls and bars in the hotel, with the Bay Cafe Bar on the first floor and the Huaiyang Stove on the fifth floor being the most popular. The café is actually the hotel's cafeteria, which only serves breakfast from 7:00 to 09:30, and will be postponed to 10:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. The hotel's self-catering is a major shortcoming, and some guests have said that their fruits and nuts are not very fresh, and think that they are sick because of this. To be on the safe side, it seems safe to eat snacks, as the surrounding farmyards are far away and the hygiene situation is worrying. Another strategy is to dine in Huaiyangzao, where the lion's head and reservoir fish are well received, and the Cantonese-style steamed fish is also amazing, which will be a little lighter compared to the taste of Beijing cuisine. It is worth mentioning that the wine cellar in the store offers wine tasting services, and is decorated with CGR hanging panels that match the exterior walls, which is quite like an old castle. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, sometimes the cellar is not open to the public. There is also a tropical botanical garden and a children's playground in the store, which is small in size, but it is a great place for families to go out in winter. Most of the common species in the botanical garden are golden tigers, keels, etc., and their arrangement is staggered and full of tightness, which fully demonstrates the interest of the rainforest. If you stay by car, you don't have to just fish at the lake. Old Elephant Peak, Reward Forest Park, and the four-building scenic spot can be reached in 20 minutes by car. Stone Forest Gorge is a bit far away, but it has a lot of character. In 2016, the scenic spot shocked the launch of the "titanium alloy UFO glass observation deck" more than 400 meters from the ground. If you're into the adrenaline rush, Stone Forest Gorge is a must-see. It takes 1 hour to drive to this place, and there is a ropeway cable car in the scenic area, and the tour time can be controlled within 3 hours, so it is not tiring to travel to and from this place. CITIC Jinling has been in business for nearly 5 years, and the hotel has many recreational facilities, but the opening hours are not uniform. This is a common problem of Beijing suburb resort hotels, and the climatic characteristics of North China determine that the passenger flow will be tidal according to the season. Many hotels will constantly adjust the business model of entertainment projects to prevent themselves from making ends meet due to "excessive" service quality during low passenger flow periods. The meeting nature of CITIC Jinling made the quality control of the buffet unstable, and during the trough period of individual passenger flow, it also canceled the self-service and changed to a set meal system. The hotel's service level and room facilities are also in dire need of age, and there was a case of air conditioning failure in the store during the summer. Compared to the poor service attitude, this is the biggest disaster.
