In the eyes of many people, Wuzhen is a literary and artistic mecca that escapes from city life in the short term, but the nearby Gubei Water Town is often overlooked, but in fact, the two are very similar. Gubei Water Town adopts an ancient layout similar to that of Wuzhen, and its building complex and the total area of the scenic area are about twice that of Wuzhen. In terms of service, there is no need to worry, the largest shareholder of Wuzhen and Shuizhen is actually the same company, and their operating model is the same. If you're looking to travel to Wuzhen but can't get away with it, we recommend picking a weekend to experience Gubei Water Town, and using the savings on airfare to upgrade your accommodation is a smart decision. There are many inns in the water town, and the Gubei Water Town Hotel is the only large hotel, with a total of 408 rooms, and its facilities are more complete than the inn, equipped with a massage center and two swimming pools. The mattress provided by the store is soft and elastic, and the 2-meter-wide bed has conquered many consumers. More experienced guests are likely to choose a standard room of the same class, the same price and the same size, but the two narrow beds with a width of 1.35 meters can be seamlessly connected. The comfort of the beds in the store is very competitive in the water town scenic area, but the sound insulation of the hotel walls is not good, so many guests do not enjoy a good night's sleep. It is worth mentioning that the water town project has a special water plant, which can provide 2,400 tons of direct drinking water to the scenic spot every day, so Gubei Water Town Hotel does not give mineral water to guests. This move has been widely criticized, and many consumers do not trust the process of the water plant. In fact, the water plant is equipped with the more advanced Dow FLMTECTM NF90-400 nanofiltration equipment, which has a high organic matter removal rate and has passed the FDA certification, and the direct drinking water produced by the water plant also meets the EU label. The depth of the hotel pool is not suitable for children, but even so, you must experience the outdoor pool. The water in the pool is clear, and the top floor is enough to have a bird's-eye view of the entire scenic area, and the "boundless" design method is even more exquisite, as if only man and nature are between heaven and earth, enough to leave the worries of work behind. The pool is not warm and the changing areas are far away, so we recommend doing it in the summer. Both pools are located on the 7th floor of the hotel, and the restaurant is not clearly labeled, which is really confusing. Perhaps the design scheme also has shortcomings, although the hotel public area is full of art, but the labyrinthine corridors are easy to get lost. The structure of the house cannot be changed, and we can only hope that the store will put up more signage. Located on the first floor of the hotel, the Dragonfly Buffet Restaurant offers common dishes such as dim sum, sausages, and bacon. The bread maker also seems to be faulty, requiring multiple baking to get browned slices of bread. During peak season, there are many queues inside the restaurant. It should be noted that although Dragonfly Chase Banquet is known as an all-day dining restaurant, it only provides self-service from 7:00 to 10:30 in the morning, which is the only restaurant in the hotel that can provide breakfast service, so you had better set the alarm clock carefully, after all, the other restaurants in the scenic area are a little far away. There are also Hai Katsu Restaurant and Range Rover Chinese Restaurant, located on the second and fifth floors respectively, the latter of which offers a variety of dishes such as Cantonese, Sichuan, Beijing and Shandong, with a greasy taste but elegant environment. It is recommended to try the fish head cake, which can bring a lot of satisfaction after a tiring day and eat some heavy meals. The Japanese restaurant is not amazing, and the footfall is not large, so if you want to be quiet, a bowl of hot udon noodles is a good choice. Gubei Water Town Hotel has been in business for three years and is a high-level hotel in the scenic area. The hotel claims to be meticulously built to five-star standards, showcasing the exquisite lobby and perfect facilities to its guests. The lack of guidance in service content is its biggest shortcoming. There are plenty of parking spaces in the hotel's underground parking garage, but doormen and security guards rarely give the right guidance. The lack of clear signage of public facilities has been criticized, and the hotel is expected to make improvements. Although the hotel is located at the entrance of the water town scenic spot, considering the small number of through trains, we recommend traveling by car.
