Moonshine Hills - Merchant Reviews

The term Moonshine originated after the Civil War, after the war, Lincoln imposed a high excise tax on liquor in order to pay off the war debt, and the bootleggers who immigrated to the United States from Ireland and Scotland hid in the mountains to make illegal whiskey under the moonlight, which is often called "Moonshine". To this day, the term Moonshine is still used to refer to moonshine, and what Moonshine Hills pursues is probably that uninhibited drunkard spirit.

Lawrence Xie, the founder of Moonshine Hill, is not only the founding editor of the Chinese edition of Whiskey Magazine, the perfect score of WSET Old Edition Spirits Level 2 Certification, the American Distilled Spirits Association American Whisky Brand Ambassador in China, and the special writer of WhiskyL, the most authoritative whisky exhibition in China. Lawrence is also a certified recipient of the Jerez Sherry Tasting Course issued by the Commercial Section of the Spanish Consulate.

Founded at the end of 2015, Moonshine Hills is home to hundreds of limited-edition niche whiskies and more than 300 other spirits from different distilleries and vintages. The store's collection of Scottish single malt whisky has not only captured the hearts and stomachs of whisky aficionados, but has also been unexpectedly well received by first-time drinkers and ladies alike.

The founder's expectation for Moonshine Hills is neither an eye-catching "Internet celebrity store" nor a high-style sentimental store, but rather a casual and literary tavern that can provide visitors with a sense of security and belonging. There is no sense of ritual in a Japanese bar, and even the music is not a decent pure jazz, and there is a somewhat free and loose American soul hidden under the seemingly heavy wooden decoration.

Moonshine Hill is adjacent to the garden, and cocktails cost between 80 and 85 yuan per glass, and pure wine prices range from 110 to 250 yuan per glass. Although the prices are a cut above any other bar in Beijing, the excellent wine, warm atmosphere, warm service and professional skills of the bartenders are definitely worth a try.
