If you're going specifically for a German beer, Hobais might be the best choice. Located near the Sanlitun Embassy District, Hebaishi Brewery is a typical home-brewed beer restaurant. Hacker-Pschorr is a high-end beer brand owned by the Plana Group and one of the six largest breweries in Munich, which has been a leader in the Munich beer industry since the 18th century. Hacker-Pschorr was directly involved in the creation of the famous Oktoberfest, which was the beginning of the world-famous Oktoberfest in 1810 when King Ludwig I of Bavaria commissioned Joseph Pschorr to develop a special beer for his wedding celebrations. In 2015, Beijing Star World joined forces with Hacker-Pschorr to bring Hacker-Pschorr Bräuhaus, a beer restaurant owned by Hebais, to Beijing, and the Plana Group was invited to become the managing shareholder of the brewery, responsible for the quality of the beer. In 2016, the brewery won the honor of "Selected Home-brewed Beer Workshop of the Year" in that's Beijing lifestyle. The restaurant's Executive Chef Oliver Buentgen, who has worked with Europe's top chef Eckart Witzigmann for many years, has a deep grasp of traditional German cuisine and Bavarian cuisine. The menu is still based on classic brewery dishes, with traditional sausages, pork knuckles, sausage platters, and cold-cut platters being the most popular dishes, while Bavarian snacks such as beer sausages, smoked bacon ham bread, Bavarian homemade cheese, German pork jelly, and meat bread are also worth trying. There are two ways to choose from pork knuckle, a crispy pork knuckle common in Bavaria, and a boiled pork knuckle common in northern Germany, known as "Surhaxe" in southern Germany. Surhaxe is cooked over low heat, and is softer than roasted pork knuckle, rich in fat but more greasy, and has a different flavor from crispy pork knuckle. Vienna cutlet, lumberjack steak is also quite a classic German dish, pork chop is made of pork loin wrapped in eggs and breadcrumbs and fried, the taste is crunchy, the taste is fresh and fragrant, with German potato salad, the taste is slightly sour, full of greasy, is a simple and classic staple food. The lumberjack pork chops are also served with onion bacon and are also simple and delicious. Professional brewer Otto Schneider has more than 30 years of experience in beer brewing and 15 years as Operations Manager at Gaffel, another long-established German brewer. The restaurant has standard small brewing equipment and offers three home-brewed beers: lager, dark beer, and wheat beer, as well as special beers at the Oktoberfest. In addition to ordinary beer, Hebaishi has also launched mixed beer drinks, yellow beer mixed with lemon juice and wheat beer are worth trying, but cola flavored and banana wheat beer is a minefield and is not recommended for diners to try. The environment of the Hobass Brewery is clean and tidy, the décor is warm and comfortable, and the huge barrels and wine pipes in the store are a constant reminder of the restaurant's authentic beer pedigree. Compared to the beer garden-style atmosphere of Prana, DK1308 and other beer gardens full of South German style, the Brewery is more like a small pub with a larger version. The quality of service here is also quite outstanding, attentive and smiling. The restaurant has a daily lunch special, which is good value for money.
