Slow down - business reviews

The owner of the shop, who was a Japanese student living in Beijing, stayed in China to sell sake and opened a Japanese restaurant called Slow Walk in July 2005. The slow-moving Japanese cuisine cannot be described as authentic, as a considerable part of the dishes here have been improved and some innovative elements have been added. However, the slow-moving dining revamp has succeeded in attracting loyal fans and admiring diners, so that the smaller establishments are often open until late at night. Rather than being a whole eel or a large piece of eel spread on top of rice, the slow-walking signature eel rice is a must-try on every table, and instead of the whole eel or large chunks of eel spread on top of the rice, the eel is sliced and grilled more evenly inside and out, and the grilling time is shorter and the meat is softer. Then according to the unique eel eating method of slow walking, one eel rice can eat three different special flavors. In addition, the price of slow-walking eel rice is 130 yuan, which is relatively cost-effective, and it is very recommended. The slow-walking homemade tofu is also a feature, freshly made every day, the tofu has a solid taste and is full of bean flavor. After the meal, the dessert is the almond tofu, which has a strong almond flavor and a smooth and refreshing taste, and is limited to 20 servings per day. The slow-walking restaurant is filled with a variety of Japanese sake, and it is one of the most diverse Japanese restaurants in Beijing, which is also related to the fact that the owner used to sell Japanese sake. The waiters who walk slowly are familiar with the types of alcohol on their wine list, and they are able to accurately tell the taste of each wine and recommend the right type of liquor according to the customer's preferences. There are also self-blended soju drinks that contain a certain amount of alcohol, so diners who are not strong enough to drink should be careful. There are currently two stores in the Slow Walking Restaurant, Liangmaqiao and Sweet Water Garden. The Ryomaqiao store is decorated with a simple but charming wooden fence surrounding the exterior wall, and the interior of the restaurant is dominated by soft warm colors, and the various sakes on display have also become the characteristic scenery of the store, but it should be noted that the Ryomaqiao store is currently only open at night. The Sweet Water Garden store is the new location of the original Tuanjiehu store, which was renovated in November 2017 and opened in December to welcome customers, and the Sweet Water Garden store is open at noon and evening.
