Baishuizhai Scenic Area is located in Paitan Town, in the northern mountainous area of Zengcheng City, is now a provincial-level scenic spot, with an area of about 170 square kilometers, the Tropic of Cancer passes through it, known as the jade on the Tropic of Cancer, and belongs to the mountain-type scenic spot. There are only 9 peaks above 1,000 meters above sea level in the scenic area.
Baishuizhai is composed of a number of mountains, of which the main peak Baishuizhai Mountain is 828 meters high. The cliffs and waterfalls in the park are interdependent on the alpine Tianchi, and the Tongtian Canyon is connected to the shallow wetlands, and the terrain is complex and changeable. Among the 24 scenic spots around the climbing stairs, the most impressive attraction is the White Narcissus Waterfall. On the Baishuizhai Mountain, which is as high as 828 meters, there is a waterfall that flows straight down, with a drop of 428.5 meters, which is the largest waterfall in China's interior. With dense forests, abundant sunshine and turbulent waterfalls, Baishuizhai has the three elements to produce abundant air negative ions. According to the determination of the authoritative Central South Forestry College, the content of negative ions in the air in the Baishuizhai Waterfall area is as high as 112,500 per cubic centimeter, ranking first among the scenic spots in Guangdong participating in the evaluation, and it is a veritable natural "big oxygen bar".
The hiking trail in the Baishuizhai Scenic Area spans three flat lands, connecting the two major heavenly pools, with a total of 9,999 stone steps. The secondary scenic spots from bottom to top include the Strange Water Valley, the Wooden Plank Road of the Sea Boat, the 1499-level Roaring Platform, the 2199-level Pro-Waterfall Platform, the 3299-level Mu Waterfall Platform, and the 4099-level Xiangu Tianchi. In order to make visitors get the most comfortable enjoyment in the process of climbing the mountain and watching the waterfall and absorbing oxygen, a number of mountaineering routes are planned in the Baishuizhai Park. In addition to the longest hiking trail in Guangdong - the "first ladder in Tiannan" with 9999 stone steps, and the only water-friendly plank road built with sea boat wood in the country, visitors can also choose to take a sightseeing bus to go up the mountain for sightseeing, but at present, the sightseeing car only reaches 899 levels, and the fee is 10 yuan / person. Generally speaking, it takes about 5-6 hours to climb the whole mountain, and because the scenery up is relatively ordinary, most tourists will choose to go down the mountain and end the trip when they climb to the 4099 Tianchi.
In addition, there are abundant hot spring resources in Zengcheng Baishuizhai Scenic Area, with a water temperature of 28 °C - 73 °C and a daily output of 3,400 tons, which is a metasilicate spring. Contains fluorine, lithium, zinc, potassium, chlorine, calcium, etc. The waterfall platform in the wonder goes up from the bottom of the mountain, and there are six waterfall viewing platforms along the way, which are known as the six major waterfall viewing places in Baishui Village. Everywhere you go, you can slow down and enjoy the beauty of the waterfall from a different angle, or you can take a few extra breaths of fresh air full of negative ions.
In addition, there are also the first greenway in Guangdong, "Baishui Greenway", the country's first original ecological landscape park, Lixiang flavor restaurant and Sunflower Square and other play and tour facilities at the foot of Baishuizhai Mountain. Among them, tourists who want to dine can go to the farmhouse inns around Baishuizhai to taste Zengcheng's authentic farmhouse dishes such as roast chicken in Lychee Mushuizhai, steamed grass carp in the reservoir, and steamed pietan powdered kudzu slices. If you come to Baishui Village in autumn and winter, you can also choose to stay in a hot spring hotel in the scenic area after climbing mountains and wading in the water to relieve your fatigue.
