Guangdong Science Center-Institutional Reviews

It is a large-scale comprehensive science and education base directly under the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee. The overall architectural image is a "science and technology aircraft carrier", and if you look down on it, it looks like a kapok, and the shape is very unique. It has won nearly 100 honorary titles such as the National 4A-level Tourist Attraction, the International Creative Science Communication Award, and the International Creative Science Exhibition Award, and has successfully held many large-scale activities such as the Asia-Pacific Association of Science Centers (ASPAC) Annual Conference and the National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition.

The Guangdong Science Center is located in the Guangzhou University Town of Panyu, and its permanent exhibition halls are distributed on the second and third floors, with cinemas and online tickets, free temporary exhibition halls on both sides of the stairs on the second floor, and science and technology stores and event exhibitions on the first floor. On the 2nd floor of the Guangdong Science Center, there are eight thematic pavilions, namely "People and Health", "Flying Dreams", "Children's World", "Traffic World", "Digital World", "Green Home", "Perception and Thinking" and "Experiment and Discovery". Among them, there are also 4 technology theaters, which are giant screen theaters, dome theaters, dynamic theaters, and 4D theaters. In addition to two open laboratories and a 2,500-square-meter "Digital Family Experience Hall", there is also a temporary exhibition area with a construction area of 20,000 square meters to display the latest scientific and technological achievements at home and abroad at any time, allowing visitors to participate and experience hands-on, suitable for children and those who are interested in popular science. There are also a lot of interesting physical technologies outside the main venue, and the academic exchange center next to it has free lectures to participate in on weekends, please see the Kotani Science Forum and the official website for details.

As a large-scale science and education base, children can inspire their thinking and learn a lot of scientific knowledge here, and many of the on-site interpreters are very patient, which is worth visiting. At present, the restaurant in the science center only serves boxed lunches, and the prices are relatively high.
