ROSE CAFE - Merchant Reviews

Rose Coffee originated in 2003, mainly engaged in the research and development of its own roasting coffee beans and coffee utensils, is a supplier of many coffee shops, and is well-known in the Pearl River Delta region. Rose Coffee's brick-and-mortar store has neither a façade nor a sign, and it's almost impossible to find it if you don't come here intentionally. In the hostess's opinion, this place has never been advertised as a café, but it is just a window for offline communication with customers, mainly used for offline pick-up, as well as exchanging coffee brewing experience, and most of the people who come are regular customers. However, for coffee lovers in Guangzhou, Rose Coffee is a must-visit specialty coffee pilgrimage site. Rose coffee beans have been maintained at about 40 kinds for a long time, and the supply and quality of beans from large producing areas are the basic items, and about 6 kinds of high-quality micro-batch beans in the season will be launched, and the quantity is usually small, so it will be updated more frequently. There are three main sources of coffee beans for roses: Indonesian coffee estates; Green coffee agents, including Iron Mary, British Hunter, etc.; Bids will also be made on the official websites of well-known coffee estates. Indonesian coffee beans can be regarded as the signature product of roses, because one of the partners of Rose has been visiting major production areas in Indonesia for a long time and is very familiar with the local coffee industry, and can buy directly from the coffee estate. The coffee beans from Indonesia are mainly Mandheling, which is produced in Sumatra, which is recognized as one of the best coffee producing regions. Mandhelin, which has been darkly roasted, is caramelized and has a cocoa flavor and a sweet aftertaste after drinking. In addition to Mandheling, long-term varieties of roses include Colombian, Yirgacheffe, Sidamo and many other popular coffee beans. Therefore, Rose can be regarded as one of the boutique cafes with the richest variety of coffee beans in Guangzhou. In addition to roasting green beans, Rose Coffee has also studied grinders. The self-launched bean grinder has not only obtained two patents, but also went to Shanghai to participate in the exhibition in 2015 and has been widely recognized by the industry. Many imported big-name grinders will buy cutterheads from Rose for replacement because the cutterhead material does not meet the domestic food safety standards. Today, the Rose Café is long and narrow, with a few counters and a dozen seats neatly arranged in the depths of the café, but it doesn't feel crowded. In addition to sipping coffee, you can also admire Rose's own coffee utensils, including the famous grinder mentioned above. The barista at the bar is also a green roaster of roses, and he is an absolute connoisseur with a kind attitude, and he can talk to them with any questions about coffee. Usually after three o'clock in the afternoon, the hostess of Rose will come to the café to make coffee herself and chat with the guests. According to the hostess, Rose is now preparing a new venue that can be used for offline exchanges, and will re-host coffee sharing sessions later. However, these events are organized on a membership basis and are not open to the public. Friends who are interested in specialty coffee in Guangzhou can sign up to participate. Users who want to come here to taste coffee should note that there are no light meals, no desserts, only unsweetened coffee, and it is not recommended to come here with the expectation of going to Starbucks.
