Poly International Cinema is a cinema under Poly Pictures, which is located in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other major cities, and is currently the largest cinema chain in China. As of April 2017, Poly Pictures has 45 directly-operated cinemas across the country, with 325 screens. Poly Pictures is a subsidiary of China Poly Group, and has invested in the production of films such as "Infernal Affairs 2", "Infernal Affairs 3" and "Dragon Tiger Gate", which have received huge responses.
The biggest highlight of the cinema is the POLYMAX laser light source giant screen hall. The playback equipment in the giant screen hall uses a 60,000 lumen integrated 6P laser projector from the Belgian company Barco, which is richer and more layered than the traditional projector playing the movie picture. Moreover, the playback brightness of the laser projector is extremely high, and there is no need for the metal screen to increase the brightness, which avoids the phenomenon of brightness attenuation on both sides of the metal screen. At the same time, the 6P laser projector is also equipped with a "Barco Insight" processor, which can display 4K content at a high frame rate of 60fps, and the video playback is smoother.
Poly International Cinema is built according to five-star standards, with a business area of 10,000 square meters and 10 cinema halls, including dual-machine 4K cinema halls, luxury VIP cinema halls, and POLYMAX laser light source giant screen halls. As the fist configuration of Poly Cinemas, the POLYMAX Cinema is set up separately in the Poly Theater, and it has also become the best venue for film companies to promote their films and hold obvious meet-and-greets whenever a new film is released. The general cinema hall and VIP hall are on the third floor of the Poly Cultural Plaza next to the Poly Theater. When choosing a cinema hall, the POLYMAX laser light source giant screen hall is naturally the first choice, followed by the dual-machine 4K movie hall. It should be reminded that in addition to the free 3D glasses provided in the laser giant screen hall, the free 3D glasses are not provided in the ordinary theater, and the moviegoers need to bring their own or buy them in the store.
Poly International Cinema is located in Poly Cultural Plaza in Coastal City, in addition to Poly Cinema, there are also Pacific Cinema, Huaxia Starlight, Coastal Cinema, etc., but these cinemas can only focus on cheap prices in front of Poly's POLYMAX, and the viewing experience is naturally inferior to Poly's giant screen system. However, Poly Cinema has been open for a long time, and some service equipment has not been renovated immediately, such as the seats are not soft and comfortable enough, and the interior decoration is slightly outdated.
