Broadway Cinematheque (Vientiane World) - Institutional Reviews

Broadway Cinematheque is one of the cinema brands of Hong Kong Anal Pictures Co., Ltd., which was born in 1996. The MixC Cinema is the second cinema to be opened in the mainland after Beijing, integrating film screenings, film books, film salons, and themed food, and is a gathering place for film lovers.

Broadway Cinematheque officially opened at the end of November 2017 and is equipped with 10 movie theaters, including IMAX and Dolby Atmos giant screens. The IMAX room can accommodate nearly 400 people, and the seating space is set up in a spacious space, divided into two sections, double and single seats, and the best viewing position is in row K or L (couple seats). However, the brightness of the IMAX picture is dim, and the eyes will be a little tired after watching the whole scene, but it is still much better than the ordinary theater experience. The Dolby Hall is also a hall, with 366 seats, the screen brightness and sound effects are satisfactory, and the seats are spacious and comfortable, which is better than the IMAX hall.

The cinema is characterized by occasional film festivals, and in just a few months since its opening, it has cooperated with the first film festival of poisonous tongue films, the German Film Festival, the Japanese New Film Festival, the European Union Film Festival and the Hong Kong theme film festival. "Old Beast" director Zhou Ziyang, "Carnival" director Wen Yan and "Not a Problem Problem" director Mei Feng are the first guests of the festival.

In addition, the Broadway Cinematheque will also recommend and screen the works of outstanding young directors, giving talented and aspiring young people more opportunities to show and communicate with fans.

There is a Kubrick bookstore and café in front of the theater, and most of the books are biased towards film, art and literature, including the autobiography of the film director and the poster of the actors.
