With a total length of about 5 kilometers, Xichong Beach is the largest beach in Shenzhen and is also recognized as one of the eight most beautiful beaches in China. It is located at the southernmost tip of the Dapeng Peninsula in the east of Shenzhen, surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side, and has an extremely beautiful natural environment.
The sand in Xichong is particularly soft and delicate, and it is extremely comfortable to step on. With the sea breeze, the sand quietly adheres to the person's body, and when you pat it, the fine sand drifts away with the wind. The beach is full of shells washed up on the shore by the waves, so you don't have to worry about others grabbing them, because there are too many to pick up. It is also a good choice to see the sea in Xichong. The 5 km coastline stretches almost in a straight line, and the view is very open. The water is blue and transparent, and the waves are lined up one after another, and the sound of the waves is constant.
In addition to thinking about life with the sea breeze, there are also many other entertainment activities in Xichong. There are a number of resorts around the beach that offer surfing, boating, jet skiing, CS field games, barbecue buffets and other entertainment. About 1 km opposite the east side of the beach, Lover's Island faces Sai Chung across the sea. Visitors can reach the island by speedboat and dive to a depth of about 10 meters. With a diameter of less than 200 meters, the island has turquoise blue waters and visibility of up to 6 meters, allowing you to get close to the fish and corals in the sea.
There are also many accommodations on Xichong Beach, but most of them are very simple and the space is relatively cramped, so it is recommended to choose a homestay near the beach entrance. Friends who travel by car can also go to Dapeng Jinsha Bay, which is about half an hour's drive from Xichong, or Yangmeikeng Luzui Villa, which costs about 1,500 yuan/night.
