Shenzhen Bay Park - Institutional Reviews

Shenzhen Bay Park is located in the southwest of Shenzhen, with a total length of about 13 kilometers from Futian Mangrove Bird Nature Reserve in the east to the west side of the Shenzhen Bay Bridge in the west. It's not so much a park as a narrow coastal recreation belt along the coastline.

In Shenzhen Bay, there are no thrilling amusement facilities, and there are no hot activities, people here are here to take a walk, be in a daze, ride a bicycle and look at the sea. On one side, it is a green belt of palm trees, iron trees and grass, which separates the hustle and bustle of the city. On the other side is the calm sea, and a well-developed system of walking trails winds along the winding coastline. The underside of the walkway is an intertidal zone, with occasional rocky beaches, mud stalls and mangrove wetlands. If you look closely, you can spot shells and conch shells scattered along the coast, and sometimes even mudskippers and fiddler crabs, the star species of mangrove wetlands.

For bird-watching enthusiasts, Shenzhen Bay can also be said to be a good place to feast your eyes. There are often "birdmen" from all over the world who come here and set up "spears and cannons" to shoot at all kinds of water birds. Herons, great egrets, sandpipers, black-winged stilts, and spoonbills are all common species in Shenzhen Bay; The most well-known, of course, must be the black-faced spoonbill with a solemn appearance.

Since its official opening in 2000, Shenzhen Bay has become an excellent place for Shenzhen residents to relax, run and exercise. It links the sea and the city, human beings and nature, and integrates modern civilization and natural ecology just right. Pick a sunny day, get friends and family, and make small talk while walking. When you are tired, you can stop, stand on the observation decks scattered everywhere, overlook the looming high-rise buildings opposite, and let yourself blend into the sea breeze and waves of Shenzhen Bay, isn't it beautiful?
