From 2013 to 2017, Gui Manlong went from Shanghai to Nanjing and then to Shenzhen, one city a year, one store and one theme, with "reproducing the prosperity of the Southern Song Dynasty" as the overall development context of the brand. The first store in Shanghai focuses on the style of "Southern Song Dynasty Royal Street", with the design idea of restoring the ancient charm of the south of the Yangtze River, and the exterior scene is built-in, creating the prosperous scenery of the thousand-year-old city of Hangzhou Southern Song Dynasty Royal Street in the store. The details are also quite distinctive, with a whole wall displaying the "Ancient Lin'an Street Scene" hand-painted by the project team of the China Academy of Art, and the cooperation of the national treasure-level lighting design team to display the ten-meter-long "West Lake Panorama" in the form of ink and wash real-life light images. On the tableware, Gui Manlong and the Jingdezhen porcelain research team worked together to make a tabletop in the form of medium-glaze calcination of hand-painted blue and white porcelain and Hangzhou street scenes, supplemented by a black walnut base, so that each tabletop has something to look at. Dongpo meat as a famous dish in the water town of Jiangnan with a history of hundreds of years, Gui Manlong uses Jiangnan tribute rice straw, Dongpo meat is fat and thin, one bite is satisfied, but it may be more greasy to eat empty, which is also the authentic taste of Dongpo meat; Huwei fried shrimp is made of Taiwanese white peppercorns, which is fresh but not spicy, and is the star product in the store. The bluestone slate tenderloin is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with moderate sweetness and sourness, and the juices are churning in the mouth when you bite into it. West Lake vinegar fish is a traditional famous dish in Zhejiang, usually using about one and a half catties of grass carp, only three or four minutes to cook when cooking, and pour a layer of sweet and sour when serving the dish. The color of the finished dish is bright red, sweet and sour, and it is distinctive.

However, the black gold quicksand buns are not very brilliant compared with the buns that can be eaten in ordinary teahouses in Guangdong. Finger-sucking chicken feet are crispy and fluffy and easy to eat. Gui Manlong's most plus point is the environment, the production is decent, there are certain characteristics, but it is not excellent. If you are willing to spend hours waiting in line and are keen on "the camera eats first", Gui Manlong will definitely amaze your circle of friends. It is opened in Ping An Financial Center, with no more than 100 per capita, and the cost performance is indeed high.

In the past two years, "Internet celebrities" have gradually spread to the catering industry, and Internet celebrity restaurants such as Xiao Quxing, Gui Manlong, Nice to Meet You, Diao Ye Brisket, and Impression Xiangjiang have begun to become popular on the Internet. In August 2017, Gui Manlong's sub-brand "Worm Er Liquor Shop" quicksand bag was exposed to hygiene problems, and the store subsequently carried out rectification, which did not affect the enthusiasm of consumers.
