Founded in 2010, Kichi Workshop was influenced by MUJI's style in the early days, and its works all bear the shadow of MUJI to some extent. However, with the contact with the domestic market, the overly restrained Japanese aesthetic of MUJI's works came into conflict with the detailed expressiveness pursued by the Chinese.
In 2015, Kichi Workshop began to de-Muji, departing from the Japanese style, adding more details and strengthening the expressiveness of wood. In 2016, Muzhi Workshop officially launched "MZGF" as the brand name, and at the same time carried out brand upgrades, changed to the direction of whole house soft decoration, began to expand overseas markets, and completed the development of 4 product lines of modern light luxury, gold and stone woodwork, modern Chinese style and classic wood series.
After the upgrade, Muzhi Workshop actively develops a variety of furniture materials, among which the representative work of the Jinshi Wood series "Water Lily Coffee Table" adopts the form of combining wood and natural marble, with a frame made of solid wood, and a panel made of natural marble and aluminum honeycomb composite panels.
The main audience of Muzhi Workshop is between 30-40 years old, people in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and the Yangtze River Delta region, the sales model is more focused on online sales, and has covered the mainstream e-commerce platforms, the products are mostly hangers, tables and chairs, cabinets, bed frames, and the price is moderate, generally between 300 and 13,000, and only some products are exhibited in the offline exhibition hall in Hangzhou.
In terms of stocking mode, Muzhi Workshop and suppliers have established an order-based cooperation, adopting a spot model, placing orders in advance for inventory, which not only makes full use of the factory's production capacity, but also has a better purchase experience for users.
