Founded in 1996, the American sports equipment brand started with quick-drying sports tights. Started selling sneakers in 2006, and while Under Armour is a rising star in the sneaker space, it has been gaining momentum in recent years. In 2016, Under Armour's turnover exceeded $4.83 billion.
Footwear is one of the key drivers of growth for the Under Armour brand. The Charged Phenom 2, which is popular at the official flagship store in China, uses a full-length Charged Cushioning insole to provide a good comfort and fit. Double-layered midsole, Charged Cushioning at the bottom of the heel and Micro G foam material for a good combination of cushioned support and strong rebound. The strong retractable sheath inside the shoe wraps around the foot and creates a tight support layer. The internal TPU heel pad locks the heel for added support. The synthetic overlay forms a protective outer layer for durability and anti-slip protection for both feet.
