Casarte is a high-end sub-brand of Haier, and all kinds of electrical appliances are involved. In the eyes of most people, Japanese refrigerators are high-end representatives, and the basic workmanship and quality control of domestic brands do have a certain gap with Japan. In the field of low-end refrigerators, many Chinese brands, including Haier, are driving down manufacturing costs in exchange for greater market share for cost performance. However, in terms of flagship refrigerators, Haier Casarte is not inferior to Panasonic and Hitachi in terms of function and design.
An epoch-making compressor revolution
If Embraco and Panasonic are the kings of compressors in the old era, and have achieved the ultimate in refrigerator compressor technology in the past, then Casarte's new air-suspended oil-free compressor is an epoch-making subversion, with energy consumption, volume, and noise far better than refrigerator compressors in the past.
The vast majority of refrigerator compressors on the market use reciprocating piston compressors, this type of compressor technology is stable and mature, and the principle can be traced back to the ancient steam engine of the Industrial Revolution. However, in order to overcome inertia, the compressor needs to be activated with high power consumption when it is started. When working, there is a lot of friction on the point, line and surface, and lubricating oil is needed to lubricate many parts to overcome resistance, so the noise is very high and the energy utilization rate is not high. Many refrigerator problems such as oil return, energy consumption, noise, and refrigeration efficiency can be found in the compressor.
The compressor used by Casarte jumped out of the existing frame of reciprocating products, removed the transmission of the previous crankshaft connecting rod, and used the motor to directly drive the piston. If it is only to this point, it is just the same as LG's linear inverter compressor, which saves 20% energy. In order to reduce the friction between the piston and the cavity wall, Casarte introduced air suspension technology, which has less resistance than the need for lubricating oil, so that the energy loss is further reduced and the noise is reduced. At the same time, the volume of the overall compressor has been significantly reduced, to only half that of the compressor of the past. Leading the way in reciprocating compressors from the inside out, LG Linear Technology is a step further.
The air-suspended oil-free compressor was originally developed by Haier's R&D center in New Zealand, and has been applied to Casarte's latest flagship products.
A flagship refrigerator with Chinese characteristics
The built-in five-door refrigerator is Casarte's unique refrigerator type, which is more suitable for domestic use habits than Japanese multi-door refrigerators. Japanese multi-door refrigerators have very little freezing space, and a bag of frozen chicken thighs can occupy most of the capacity, which is not suitable for families who like to stock up on all kinds of meat. Under Casarte, there is enough space for freezing, the variable temperature area can be filled with a large number of ingredients, and the ice-making area can also be disassembled by itself. The refrigerator has a built-in design that can be freely combined with the kitchen cabinets and can be chosen in a more casual position.
The grain dispenser is also quite Chinese in China, and no other brand has launched a similar feature. Casarte refrigerator with three grain dispensers located in the refrigerator door, sealed jars to keep grain from moisture, coarse grains, soybeans, mung beans, wheat can be filled. When you take it, you only need to press the button, and you can pour out the required ingredients like water dispensing from a water dispenser, which is convenient to operate and suitable for consumers who love to eat grains.
As a high-end sub-brand of Haier, Casarte can be called a high-tech exhibition hall. Infrared precise temperature control, local directional air supply, electric door opening, oxygen control and preservation, air suspension oil-free compressor, and vortex dynamic sterilization have all been fully utilized. Therefore, in 2018, Casarte's built-in refrigerator swept ten international awards including Red Dot and iF, and is currently the pinnacle of high-end refrigerators.
Difficult to keep fresh
At the AWE exhibition in March 2019, Casarte unveiled its MSA oxygen control and preservation technology. Hitachi's vacuum chilling is achieved by extracting part of the air to reduce the oxygen concentration in the cabin and achieve the effect of food preservation. Casarte, on the other hand, autonomously regulates the ratio of nitrogen and oxygen in the storage room, thereby delaying cell metabolism and reducing oxidation. Both have their own merits and realize the application of the same principle through different technologies. Most Casarte products are equipped with this function.
Dry and wet storage is the general trend of refrigerators, and most mid-to-high-end products adopt similar designs. Casarte's dry and wet storage is also very representative, designed under the fresh-keeping area, and the moisturizing area maintains a relative humidity of 90%, which is suitable for the storage of fruits and vegetables. The rarities area is maintained at a relative humidity of 45% to keep the air in the cabin dry. The people of East Asia pay attention to the storage of dry goods, and there is always a long list of dry goods such as tea, flower tea, dried fruits, medicinal herbs, and mountain delicacies. Dry storage in Europe and the United States is more inclined to snacks such as biscuits and potato chips, and families with higher requirements for dry storage are not recommended to choose Western-style design.
Quality control and after-sales
Although Casarte technology is advanced, the function is also in line with the domestic use, but in terms of quality control is not as good as Japanese and Korean brands, when the goods arrive, special attention is paid to check the sealing effect and left and right symmetry of the contact position between the box and the door. The sealing effect can be taken by putting the mobile phone with the flashlight on into the inside of the refrigerator to observe whether there is light leakage on the outside.
Casarte uses the same service team as Haier, but the warranty time is longer, Casarte products enjoy a 6-year warranty for the whole machine, and a 10-year warranty for the compressor, which can be called the longest after-sales service in the industry.
