In the era of traditional lighting, incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, and fluorescent lamps are the advantages of Foshan lighting. At that time, Foshan Lighting had the largest incandescent lamp production base in China, with an annual output of 400 million bulbs, and won the position of the leader with incandescent lamps. Fluorescent lamp era also built the largest fluorescent lamp production base in the Asia-Pacific region at that time, with 37 T8/T5 lamp production lines. Throughout the 90s, the production and sales of Foshan Lighting grew at an average annual rate of 50%, and in 1997, it was rated as "China's Top 100 Listed Companies" by Hong Kong's "Asia Weekly".
 
After the entire industry entered the LED era, although Foshan Lighting also tried to increase the transformation to LED, but due to the lack of production technology of LED chips and electronic components in the middle and upper reaches, coupled with the lack of traditional business growth and management change, the company's performance declined seriously, and the net profit in 2015 fell by 76% year-on-year, both in terms of sales, revenue, and the number of dealers, all lagging behind NVC and Opple. Channel outlets used to be the advantage of Foshan Lighting, with more than 1,000 dealers, but later it was also surpassed by NVC and Opple.
 
It was not until later that after the capital injection of Guangsheng Company under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Guangdong Province, Foshan Lighting gradually improved. Foshan Lighting has an advantage in the downstream sales channels, while another lighting company controlled by Rising Star Optoelectronics is in the middle and upper reaches of the chip, packaging field, in 2017 R & D investment increased by nearly sixty percent, the two sides cooperated to form a complete LED industry chain, in 2017 Foshan Lighting's revenue also increased by 12.88% year-on-year.
 
Although Foshan Lighting currently takes LED as the core, it has not given up the traditional lighting business, still accounting for 30% of the operating income, and most of the lighting systems of Guangzhou Metro are still using Foshan Lighting's tubes. Foshan Lighting sells a complete range of fluorescent lamps on the e-commerce platform, including U-shaped/spiral energy-saving lamps, T5/T8 tubes, and ring lamps, and there are many power specifications to choose from, such as U-shaped energy-saving lamps, other brands generally do not have high-power (more than 30W) specifications, but Foshan Lighting has 45W/65W or even 85W U-shaped lights, which can provide sufficient light without taking up too much space.
 
No matter what type of fluorescent lamp, Foshan lighting uses high transmittance glass as the lampshade, with high hardness and long service life, generally reaching more than 8000 hours, and can be used for more than 4 years according to 5 hours a day. The U-shaped energy-saving lamp adopts trichromatic phosphor, which has good color rendering and a color rendering index greater than 70. The energy efficiency level is level 2, which is relatively energy-efficient.
