Marie's Marley Watercolor brand introduction

At present, Marley Painting Materials is the absolute leader in China's painting pigment industry, with a market share of about 40% in China, and has maintained the first place for a long time. Because of its high cost performance, it also has good sales in Europe and the United States, and its products are also sold to more than 60 countries and regions.

The predecessor of Marley was the Marley Craft Society, which was established in 1919, merged with the Jincheng Craft Society in 1956 to form the Shanghai Pigment Factory, and in 1993, it established a joint venture with Shanghai Investment Co., Ltd. to establish Shanghai Industrial Marley Painting Materials Co., Ltd. Marley has contracted almost all the firsts in the modern history of Chinese pigments: China's first watercolor paints, crayons, oil paints, hose Chinese painting paints, and acrylic paints are all produced by Marley, which has contributed to China's pigment self-sufficiency.

Limited by the quality of domestic pigments, the quality of Marley's watercolors in the last century was very average, with large particles and opaque, almost no different from gouache. After joining the WTO in 2001, Marley was finally able to buy more decent pigments, and also introduced grinders, vacuum stirring and dispersing machines, and automatic filling machines from Europe and the United States, and the quality was gradually improved. In addition to the average diffusion, unnatural color mixing, and slight water marks, artist-level watercolor can also reach the average level of artist-level in terms of color rendering, transparency and other properties.

At present, Marley's artist-level watercolors have a total of 47 colors, and the color gamut is far less than that of European and American brands, and there is a lack of transitional colors between color systems. Because there is no blind expansion of the color gamut, only the cold gray has poor durability, and the rest of the colors are in line with the artist-level positioning. Under the above premise, Marley's cost performance is unmatched, artist-level 7ml sells for 3.8-5.8 yuan, and the 18-color set is less than 100 yuan, which is the first to enter.

The saturation, transparency and graininess of Marley's student-level watercolor are several notches lower than that of the artist-level, but the performance is enough to deal with student homework, and 12ml is only 1.4-1.7 yuan.
