Guided by a high-profile marketing strategy, Parker is definitely the hottest fountain pen brand of the last century. It often implants its products in military treaty-signing ceremonies, and the Parker 51, which has sold up to 20 million units, and the Parker 75, which has sold 10 million units, have all appeared on such solemn occasions. Parker's fountain pen inks are the same as Aurora's, which are only available in black, blue, and blue-black fountain pen inks, but because they are good at marketing, they are much more well-known than Aurora.
 
In the waning pen business, Parker was acquired by Gillette in 1993 and sold to Neway in 2000 along with other writing businesses. Beginning in 2009, Neway Group closed Parker's factories and stores in North America and the United Kingdom, and shifted production to France. At present, most of Parker's products in the Chinese market are produced by Shanghai Parker Pen Co., Ltd., and the fountain pen ink is the same formula as the French factory.
 
Marketing for Parker's pen inks began much earlier than Parker's 51. In 1931, Parker invented Quick, a fast-drying ink that claimed to include an additive called "Solv-X" that dissolved the sediment attached to the ink supply system and improved the fluidity of the ink. The unguessable name became a gimmick that caused a lot of discussion at the time, and Quick quickly became famous. In fact, all brands of ink formulations are kept strictly secret, Parker only gave the formula a code name, and the true identity of "Solv-X" is still unknown.
 
Aside from the gimmick of "Solv-X", Quick standard ink does achieve excellent flow and quick drying, but it does not solve the problem of paper leakage, and the writing performance is not even better than that of the Baile "Leak" INK-30 series. It is desirable because it dissolves sediment and can be used as a "wash water" lubricating ink supply system, provided that the cap is tightened when the pen is not in use, otherwise the quick drying of Quick ink can also dry out the ink inside the pen. The same dye ink, Quick standard ink is not as black as Aurora, 57ml sells for 88 yuan at a price that is more affordable than Aurora, but this price is based on 28 yuan in 2010, counting inflation, the brand premium is too serious.
