Riva started in 1842 and has been around for 170 years. Riva is one of the oldest, most legendary and most expensive brands in the world of yachting. Globally recognized as the "Rolls-Royce" of yachts.

Riva, part of the Group since 2000, specializes in the production of open and flybridge motor yachts ranging from 8 to 37 meters in length.

Carlo Riva sold the Riva shipyard 30 years ago. But with the acquisition of Riva by Ferretti Group in May 2000, she returned to the hands of the Italians, who are committed to restoring the heritage and values of the brand. The 164-year history of its construction, as well as the historical documents, images and objects that have been lost, document the history of the leisure yacht brand and the legend of Riva on a global scale, showing the world a wealth of information, original materials and the passion of the Riva people.

Riva's financing with Ferretti Group began in May 2000. At that time, Ferretti Group had become one of the world's leaders in the engineering, manufacturing and sales of luxury yachting. Today, Ferretti Group has 9 yacht brands: Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Bertram, Riva, Apreamare, Mochi Craft, Custom Line, CRN and Itama.

More than 2,000 employees work for Ferretti Group with a passion for the yachting industry. The Group also has approximately 488,000 square meters of manufacturing facilities (both indoor and outdoor), of which 16 shipyards are in Italy and 1 in the United States. According to figures published on August 31, 2004, Ferretti Group's sales in 2004 amounted to 557 million euros, an increase of almost 45% compared to 385 million euros in 2003. During the four years that he joined Ferretti Group, Riva established a second manufacturing site in La Spezia, Italy, and increased its annual production from 22 to 49 ships. As of August 2004, Riva had achieved a turnover of 57 million euros in 2004 and expanded its size range from 33 to 115 feet. In the past year, Riva has developed three new yachts: the Sunriva 33', Rivale 52' and Opera 85', while three new yachts were launched in 2005: the Ego 68', the Venere 75' and the Athena 115'.

On December 19, 2011, according to foreign media reports, Ferretti offered 350 million euros and planned to sell 75% of its shares to Shandong Heavy Industries, including trademarks, shipyards, sales networks, etc.

HK; 000338.SZ) (hereinafter referred to as "Weichai Power"), the parent company of Weichai Holding Group, was established, and Weichai Holding Group is the main business force of Shandong Heavy Industry Group. Therefore, the acquisition of Faraday by Shandong Heavy Industry is considered to be a landmark event for Weichai to achieve diversification strategy through cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
