Adhering to the consistent characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine and tonic liquor, Jinjiu is based on high-quality liquor, with Chinese medicinal materials such as yam, wolfberry, epimedium huo, astragalus, angelica, etc., and is carefully brewed by modern bioengineering technology to extract its effective active ingredients. It belongs to health wine, which has a health care effect on the human body after drinking, and is a branch of traditional medicinal wine and an extension of ordinary liquor.

Founded in 1953, after 60 years of steady development, Jinpai has now become a professional health food company. The product has developed from a single liquor to a healthy industrial structure with health liquor, healthy liquor and biomedicine as its three core businesses. It has an area of 350 acres of health wine industrial park and 930 acres of original wine ecological park, with an annual comprehensive production capacity of 160,000 tons of health wine. In 2013, Jinpai achieved sales of nearly 6.7 billion yuan, paid taxes of nearly 1.8 billion yuan, and invested more than 70.95 million yuan directly in public welfare and charity.

Jinpai adheres to the principle of "producing health wine according to the standard of making medicines", and takes the lead in applying digital technology of traditional Chinese medicine to product production. Jinpai R&D Center, together with Peking University, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China Pharmaceutical University, Hong Kong Baptist University and other scientific research institutions, has carried out a number of constructive scientific research in the fields of traditional Chinese medicine engineering technology and quality control, pharmacological analysis of traditional Chinese medicine, and industrial microbial testing. The R&D center has a complete analytical laboratory and international standard instruments and equipment, and has more than 100 full-time technical R&D personnel, including 10 senior engineers (3 professors), 1 Chinese brewing master, 6 doctors, 7 national wine evaluation committees, and 11 provincial wine evaluation committees.

In March 2006, Jinpai R&D Center became a "postdoctoral industrial base". In May 2008, Jinpai Testing Center passed the national laboratory accreditation and became the only enterprise in China's health wine industry with a national accredited laboratory. In November 2010, Jinpai R&D Center passed the appraisal of the provincial "Health Wine Engineering Technology Research Center". In July 2012, Jinpai obtained the "Medical Institution Practice License". In January 2013, the "Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Food" was approved to be established. In order to ensure the quality of the original liquor, Jinpai has established four original liquor bases in the Mufu Mountains with lush vegetation and sweet water quality, covering an area of 930 acres and with an annual output of 75,000 tons of Xiaoqu fragrant liquor, which is the largest Xiaoqu liquor brewing base in China. The natural and pollution-free natural environment guarantees the pure quality of the original sake.

In October 2005, Jinpai Company was rated as "National Civilized Unit" by the National Civilization Committee. In 2008 and 2010, Jinpai Company won the "China Charity Award" for two consecutive years. In 2011, it was awarded the "National May Day Labor Award", and in November of the same year, it was awarded the honorary title of "1981-2011 China Food Industry Outstanding Contribution Enterprise".
