Kellogg's brand introduction

Kellogg's logo

Founded in 1906 in the United States, focusing on the development of nutritious breakfast cereals, the world's leading cereal and convenience food manufacturers

Kellogg's was founded in 1906 and is headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA. In April 1999, Gutierrez was appointed CEO in a critical situation. Gutierrez became U.S. Secretary of Commerce in 2004 for his business skills.

Kellogg's is one of the world's leading manufacturers of breakfast cereals and snacks. Its products include breakfast cereals, biscuits, baked goods, frozen scones, pie shells, and ice cream cones. The company's brands include Kellogg's, Keebler, Pop-Tarts, Eggo, Cheez-It, Nutri-Grain, Rice Krispies, Special K, Murray, Austin, Morningstar Farms, Famous Amos, Carr's, Plantation, Ready Crust and others. As of 2013, Kellogg has a history of 107 years and is sold in more than 180 countries and regions around the world.

History

1898 — After a failed attempt to make granola (a breakfast cereal made of oatmeal, nuts, dried fruits, etc.), the company's founders, Mr. W.K. Kellogg (W.K. Kellogg) and his brother, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, were lucky enough to change breakfast practices by accidentally slicing the cereal. W.K experimented until he made the corn flakes into thin flakes and created a delicious recipe for Kellogg's Corn Flakes.

1906 — W.K. Kellogg founded the "Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company" and discreetly hired his first 44 employees. Together, they founded the first Kellogg's Corn Flakes® ®, making W.K's® vision of making delicious, wholesome breakfast food a reality.

1915 — Kellogg introduces Bran Flakes, the first high-fibre cereal, and a year later Kellogg's® All-Bran™ ®

1922 – Kellogg arrives in England and its products are sold in grocery stores across mainland England from the top down.

1923 — Kellogg makes another bold move, becoming the first company in the food industry to employ a dietitian. Mary Barber started Kellogg's Home Economics Department and began to define the role that different foods play in the right diet.

1940 — During World War II, Kellogg products were only available in the northern and central regions. Kellogg created Wheat Flakes and Wheat Krispies to feed wartime Britain. Due to import restrictions, both brands are made with family-grown wheat and are now defunct.

1950s — Kellogg introduces Special K® and Kellogg's Frosties®.

1969—Kellogg had the privilege of serving breakfast to three legendary astronauts, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, during the groundbreaking Apollo 11 moon landing.

1980s – Kellogg introduces a new range of products to cater to consumers in the UK, including Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes

1997 — We open the W.K. Kellogg Institute for Food and Nutrition, where foodologists, nutritionists and engineers turn healthy grains and other ingredients into delicious and wholesome foods for your family.

2000 - Kellogg sets up breakfast clubs in British schools to help provide a perfect breakfast for every child. We started working with the Amateur Swimming Association 10 years ago to encourage more kids to swim.

2010 — To help people reduce salt in their diets, we reduce salt by 30% in products like Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies, which are household favorites. Kellogg's cereals already contain 50% less salt than they did 10 years ago.

On January 1, 2013, Kellogg's joined hands with Singaporean grain and oil giant Yihai Kerry to establish Yihai Kerry Kellogg's Food (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in China, bringing Western modern whole grain cereals to Chinese consumers.

Today — we proudly uphold the values that W.K. Kellogg has instilled in us for more than 100 years, and now we're upholding that philosophy in 180 countries around the world. We offer you and your family a better breakfast to start the day, and we make corn flakes the same way W.K. Kellogg did in 1898. Because that's the only way to do it.
