Fuding White Tea is one of the six major tea categories in China, and is the oldest, most natural and healthiest tea among the six major tea categories.

White tea is a slightly fermented type of tea. When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, he sent Dongfang Shuo to various places to confer the world's famous mountains, so Taimu Mountain was named the head of the 36 famous mountains in the world, and officially changed its name to Taimu Mountain, now Fuding Taimu Mountain still has the original mother tree of Fuding big white tea planted by the hand of Taimu Niangniang, the ancient tea tree of green snow buds, the cave where Taimu Niangniang found the green snow buds and the Danjing that watered the green snow buds. More than 150 years ago (about 1857), Chen Huan transplanted this tea to his home and bred Fuding white tea in Zhulantou Village, Bailiu Township (now Zhulantou Natural Village, Guojin Village, Nodding Town).
