Legend has it that every year the officials sent by the imperial court wore a big red robe, and the robe was untied and hung on the tree of tribute tea, so it was called the big red robe. It is more widely spread that whenever tea is picked, incense is burned to worship the sky, and then the monkey wears a red shoulder and climbs to the top of the tea tree on the cliff to pick tea leaves. Therefore, Cantonese calls this kind of monkey tea "Ma Lu tea" (Cantonese people call monkeys Ma Liu).
