Odyssey brand history

Since the early 90s of the 20th century, Odyssey has continued to produce the best golf putts. The biggest breakthrough in actuator design – from the insert to the positioning device – has been truly realized.

In 1991, Odyssey developed the first sickle-shaped putter, fully cast, lightweight, and made of a soft and resilient elastomer called "Stronomic".

In 1993, the Odyssey Stronomic putter won its first tour championship and quickly gained wide recognition from tour players.

In 1994, Odyssey introduced the DualForce copper putter with black Stronomic inserts. Odyssey's all-new DualForce stainless steel wedge putter was also unveiled on the tour.

In 1995, Odyssey announced that it had won 26 PGA Tour events and was in the top 10 more than 300 times.

In 1996, the Odyssey scored its first victory at the American Masters and began working its way to become the number one club.

In 1997, Odyssey firmly established itself as the number one golf putt.

In 2000, Odyssey introduced the WhiteHot putter. This putter features a patented golf skin material for added sensitivity and superior distance control.

In 2001, Odyssey introduced a 2-ball putter with a highly efficient new positioning system that quickly made it the best-selling putter in the world. Anika Sorenstam had great success with a 2-ball putt, shooting a 59.

In 2003, after the success of the 2-ball putt, the Odyssey took about 50% of the market share and achieved impressive results.

In 2004, the WhiteSteel series products were grandly launched and continue to occupy the top spot in Odyssey.

In 2005, history repeated itself when Phil Mickelson shot an Odyssey putter to shoot a 59.

In 2007, in our hearts, Odyssey is a very forward-thinking company. We must continue to innovate ideas and products to build self-confidence on the greens. This is in the history of reading a book on golf. Writing these histories will be a different story.
