Founded in 1952, China Northwest Architecture Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. is one of the six regional architectural design institutes established by the state in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and is the earliest and largest Grade A architectural design unit in Northwest China. There are nearly 1,600 employees, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (Zhang Jinqiu), 3 national engineering survey and design masters (Zhang Jinqiu, Huang Kewu, Zhao Yuanchao), 4 engineering survey and design masters in Shaanxi Province, 91 professor-level senior engineers, 464 senior engineers (architects) and 367 engineers. There are 19 experts who enjoy the allowance of the State Council, 4 experts with outstanding contributions in Shaanxi Province, and 18 excellent survey designers. There are 411 registered personnel in the institute (the proportion ranks first in the national architectural design institute), including 119 first-class registered architects, 112 second-class registered architects, 102 first-class registered structural engineers, 69 registered utility engineers, 29 registered electrical engineers, 90 registered urban planners, registered cost engineers, supervision engineers, constructors, etc., and 10 civil air defense protection engineers.

Grade A Certificate of Urban Planning Preparation Qualification of the Ministry of Construction;
Grade A certificate for survey and design of cultural relics protection projects of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, including maintenance and protection of modern and modern cultural relics and cultural relics protection planning;
Grade B certificate of engineering design of the Ministry of Construction, including: municipal public utilities industry (bridges, tunnels, gas, water supply), commercial grain industry (refrigeration and refrigeration engineering).

The institute has majors such as planning, general drawing, architecture, structure, water supply and drainage, HVAC, power, electrical and automatic control, technical economy and budget estimation, landscape architecture, and decoration design. It can undertake all kinds of large and medium-sized industrial and civil building design, landscape design, decoration design, urban residential community planning and design, building materials factory design and traditional building research, building seismic research and construction economic consulting, engineering construction feasibility study, general contracting and other businesses.
There are 32 design institutes in the hospital: the first to the sixteenth design institute, the Huaxia Design Institute, the Urban and Architectural Design Research Center, Qu Peiqing Studio, Yuan Anjiang Studio, Zheng Xiaohong Studio, the Medical Design Institute, the Planning and Landscape Institute, the Architectural Decoration and Environmental Art Institute, the Institute of Technology and Economics, and the first to six mechanical and electrical institutes. Our institute has been engaged in engineering design and related scientific research for more than 60 years, and its projects have covered more than 30 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and more than 20 countries and regions. Since 1980, it has won more than 100 national, ministerial and provincial excellent design awards, including Beijing Library (co-design), 3262 long-wave transmitter, Qunxianzhuang Community, and the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum Sacrificial Courtyard (Palace) project won the National Excellent Engineering Design Gold Award; Yangling International Convention and Exhibition Center, Tang Furong Garden, and Chanba Business Administration Center won the Silver Award of National Excellent Engineering Design; Shaanxi History Museum, Shaanxi Provincial Library, Xuanzang Sanzang Master Institute of Daci'en Temple won the National Excellent Engineering Design Bronze Award, China Yan'an Cadre College, Yan'an Revolution Memorial Hall was awarded the 2009 "100 Classic and Excellent Projects for the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of New China", the detailed drawing of the seismic structure of the building won the Gold Award of the National Excellent Engineering Construction Standard Design, the design project of the School of Education of the Buddhist College of China (now known as the Putuoshan College of the Buddhist College of China) won the Gold Award of Survey and Design, and the construction project of supporting facilities of the China-Arab Economic and Trade Forum won the second prize of Survey and Design It has also obtained 43 national patents and won more than 50 national, ministerial and provincial science and technology progress awards.
