Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. (BIAD), founded in 1949, is a large-scale state-owned architectural design consulting institution of the same age as the Republic, a wholly state-owned company funded by the Beijing Municipal People's Government and established in accordance with the Company Law, and a first-class enterprise supervised and managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Beijing Municipal People's Government.
BIAD's business scope includes: urban planning, investment planning, large-scale public building design, civil building design, interior decoration design, landscape design, building intelligent system engineering design, project budget preparation, weak current engineering, decoration engineering, engineering general contracting and other fields. At present, the company has the following qualifications: Grade A in engineering design industry, Grade A in urban and rural planning and design, Grade A in engineering consulting, Grade A in engineering cost consulting, Grade A in tourism planning and design, Grade A in landscape engineering design, and Grade A in environmental engineering (physical pollution prevention and control engineering).
BIAD is a national high-tech enterprise, Beijing Design Innovation Center, Beijing Engineering Technology Research Center for Building Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Utilization, Beijing Engineering Technology Research Center for Informatization Building Design and Construction, and a national engineering practice education center approved by the Ministry of Education and jointly built with Tsinghua University.
