KONE is the pioneer of machine-room-less elevators, inventing the EcoDisc motor tailored for machine-room-less elevators in 1996. The new motor revolutionized the manufacturing process of the elevator power system at that time, triggered a wave of elevator drive technology revolution, and was the only permanent magnet synchronous gearless motor in the elevator industry that was successfully promoted, and it was also the basis for KONE's success in the global market.
 
KONE home elevators are characterized by the latest fifth-generation disc motors, which take up less space and have the advantages of environmental protection and energy saving. KONE is the first company in the elevator industry to obtain energy efficiency class A certification, and the energy consumption of home elevators can be as low as 0.55 kilowatts, which is only equivalent to the level of household appliances. It is equipped with a customized motor control system and braking system to improve its safety and reliability.
 
KONE's home elevators are mainly located in China, and there are three sub-brands, namely Weijia, Yuejia, and Ruijia. As the main brand, Weijia has a wider range of civil engineering sizes and car decoration options; Yuejia has the lowest positioning among the three, focusing on practicality, with relatively few customizable options, and has an advantage in price; Ruijia is the latest fully imported home elevator, which has ultra-low power consumption and lower civil engineering requirements.
 
The machine-room-less elevator has the advantage of small space, but there are still certain civil engineering restrictions, and it is necessary to reserve sufficient hoistway size and pit depth, and the top floor also has height requirements. In terms of pit depth, KONE Weijia and Yuejia need to reserve about 400mm, while Ruijia only needs 60mm deep.
 
According to China's "Safety Code for the Manufacturing and Installation of Home Elevators", the rated speed of home elevators should not be greater than 0.4m/s. The big-name products that refer to this standard are basically stuck in this line, Weijia and Yuejia are both 0.4m/s, while the imported Ruijia meets the European standard and is only 0.15m/s. In addition, Ruijia's minimum requirement for the size of the hoistway is 980mm*1180mm, which is also the lowest among the three. Therefore, if the civil space at home is limited and the speed requirements are not high, it is suitable to choose Ruijia.
 
There is no fixed quotation for home elevators, and different floor heights, different decoration customization and functional customization will affect the price, and there are also differences in dealer quotations around the world. KONE Elevator is a low-price level among international brands, and the low-rise basic model is about 150,000.
