Zhejiang Shuren University (Zhejiang Shuren University) was sponsored by the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in 1984 and is an application-oriented pilot demonstration school in Zhejiang Province.

At present, the school has Hangzhou Gongchenqiao Campus and Shaoxing Yangxunqiao Campus, covering a total area of 1,220 acres. Gongchenqiao Campus is located in Hangzhou, known as the "Paradise on Earth" on the shore of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, and Yangxunqiao Campus is located in the historical and cultural city of Shaoxing.

The school has 11 secondary colleges with more than 16,000 students. The university has 42 undergraduate majors, including 1 national characteristic major, 4 provincial key majors, 1 provincial advantage construction major, 4 provincial emerging characteristic construction majors, and 3 provincial characteristic construction majors. The total value of the school's teaching equipment is more than 170 million yuan, the library has a collection of about 1.68 million books, about 880,000 electronic books, and the maximum number of books borrowed by student readers in 2016 is more than 300 books.
