Nanchang Institute of Technology is an ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education and a bachelor's degree-granting unit. The school has three campuses and five campuses (namely: Nanchang Campus including three campuses in Hero and Changbei and Gongqing Campus and Zhangshu Campus), the campus covers an area of more than 4,600 acres, has built a school building of 1.19 million square meters, a collection of 2.51 million books, a total value of 168 million teaching instruments and equipment, and a total of 1.8 billion educational assets. There are nearly 30,000 students enrolled in the school. The school has 15 colleges, 5 teaching departments and 9 bases.

At present, there are 29 undergraduate majors and 61 junior college majors. At present, all 11 undergraduate majors with graduates have been granted the right to confer bachelor's degrees. At present, our school has 1 national and 6 provincial characteristic major construction sites. In 2009, our university became a pilot unit of the Ministry of Education's comprehensive reform of online student assistance, with 19 junior college majors and 17 undergraduate majors as pilot majors.
Our teaching and research staff have published 461 teaching reform and scientific research papers in domestic and foreign journals, including 67 Chinese core journals, 4 included in SCI, and 2 included in ISTP.
